Time to put this one to bed I guess, but honestly what a bloody journey it's been eh? This will go down in SC history as one of if not the craziest transfer windows. Kudos to our lads for trying to get this one done and dusted.

Not a great window if we lose Eriksen or if he doesn't sign a new deal.

It's an adequate window that could, or even should, have been so much better.

Ndombele the major positive.
Los Celso is an ok replacement for Eriksen.
Sessegnon won't improve us straight away and losing Trippier (somehow) weakened our defence

Dybala / Coutinho would have propelled it to a great window.

Not sure how reliable...

"Tottenham had managed to convince Juventus to help them pay Paulo Dybala's wages. They agreed to it - but Juventus withdrew after Spurs asked for help paying his image rights. Spurs might've pushed harder but weren't totally convinced Dybala wanted to join."

I don't believe that at all.

Heard it was due to agent fees? He wanted 15m and spurs were willing to pay 3m with juve paying the rest?

These are the sort of deals (third party image rights) that will make you question our part. Everyone could easily see this deal was complex and we wanted to be the silly ones trying to push through such a deal in two days...it was destined to fail and is a waste of time. Was it a ploy for other deals??? or more sinister as I read a post suggesting its to increase ticket sales.

Realistically we need to conclude Lo Celso Sessegnon and if possible Fernandes.

Is there a left field option on the cards now?
In all honesty I'd rather we go in to the season without any panic buys with huge pressure on them. If we want to revisit the likes of Fernandes in January I'm sure we can.

This is more about the law suit between the parties than the fact that a separate company holds the image rights. Imagine trying to buy a house from a couple in the midst of a deeply acrimonious divorce in which neither party can actually agree who owns the house at that moment in time and a court will rule on it in the coming months. And imagine trying to get all the parties in a room together to play nice...

I think we should probably wait before soap-boxing ...

It all rests on Eriksen. If he leaves this window is pretty poor, if he stays it's OK and if he signs on it's very good.
