Declining to comment and flat out denying it are two completely different things.
Still wouldn't necessarily read anything into it. Clubs often 'deny reports' even when subsequently signing said player.

It's also hard to know what they are denying without the proper context. If the question is "Have you bid for Coutinho?" versus "Are you interested in Coutinho?", the denials mean very different things.

I'll be honest it was getting a bit wild so I walked away for a bit, has there been any real ITK on Coutinho/Dybala.

My understanding is the Tier 1 barca folk are saying it's happening, Sky were suggesting that Poch made a call and it was Sky Sports Understands not according Sky in Italy, has there been any new news which has been negative since?

Just looking for an update really

Good point that.

Think this is one of those irons in the fire JJ alluded to as it can be wrapped up a little quicker due to it being a loan. Just a hunch.

Coutinho is obviously a great player but I don't see the logic in an expensive loan. Let's say he does well and we want to buy him. Barca will want at least £100m (they paid €140m not long ago) and I can't see us paying that for a 28 year old.

I'd much rather we spent £60m or whatever (roughly three times what Barca want for the privilege of loaning an unwanted player for ONE year) on GLC on a permanent transfer.

Read a couple more of Lillywhiterose tweets on twitter and he’s said the info he had that we bid was “from someone that would know”. That wasn’t included on the first tweet posted on here. Unlike that account to post on anything but youth.

They also mentioned Onomah and the Newcastle link earlier today.
