If we don't sign him pretty much every thread is going to be full of anti Levy / Enic bile for weeks.
For that alone we need to sign him

Shuts in 2 hours but only for incomings and not outgoings. I agree though if they haven't tied someone up themselves it's less likely to happen.
Can't we send them 1 of our dross, Tanganga or Davies or something

If we go another window without a decent CB, I don't know how people can continue to excuse the board. Other than Romero, we've done little to beef up the defense. Even relegation-threatened teams have a better defense than we do, and we're supposed to be top-4 challengers and a UCL team. If (and it's looking likely) we don't bring a decent CB in, this will be the third window on the spin we've left it. No one can honestly say that there are no better CBs in world football available than our lot.

Another window? Didn’t sign a centreback in the summer?

Can anyone remember if Leverkusen got a Sonny replacement in? Seem to recall that was way before deadline day...so we do have history with them.
So I looked into it.

Son joined us on 28th August.
Leverkusen signed his replacement Kampl on 28th August
They then signed Chicarito on 31st August.

For that reason, this won't happen now because they certainly need an incoming first

Am I right in thinking Hincapie has been playing LB for Bayer Levurkusen this season a lot?

Levurkusen are trying to sign Stuttgart LB Borna Sosa it seems. Seemed appropriate for this thread but apologies if not. ?

They were trying but Bild say that it's not happening, as Leverkusen won't pay €15 for him.

Stuttgart's Borna Sosa will not join Leverkusen today after the clubs were unable to agree on a fee. VfB were holding out for at least €15m, according to

We already had too many issues to achieve. We are chipping away at them. We need patience, however much that makes us want to tear our hair out.

For sure we have to be realistic & realise all the problems won’t be solved in the summer.

Whether Conte shares that same patience remains to be seen.

I know we’ve said this endless amount of times, but this Summer is going to be BIG on/off the pitch, one way or another …

They mostly play 3 at the back but the last two games they played with a back 4 i believe. I have no idea if thats a long term tactical change tho.

Improving other areas of the team, e.g RWB alleviates pressure from other parts of the team.

Exactly. And the crazy thing about all this moaning is that we have seen how it took Arsenal multiple windows to build a good level first team, how it to Liverpool 2-3 seasons to do the same. They didn't get to the level they are 1 year after they appointed their manager, so why are we expecting that to happen to us?

Conte has said many times that it will take 4-6 windows to get the squad ready to fight for a title. So if the manager is saying that why do those moaning expect all our problems to be solved in less time than that?

Possibly because many are worried he will leave if sufficient backing isn’t forthcoming

So it is 5 o'clock in Germany so does that mean their window is closed or is it 5 o'clock here and 6 o'clock in Germany?

Conte has been backed. Look at the amount of players we have brought in to the club during the last year plus those we've effectively written off in Regi, GLC, Winks and Tanguy. No spurs manager under ENIC has ever had that amount of backing in such a short period.
