I think its a new player induction ritual, they did the same thing to Windnaldum.

Looking forward to this game, Newcastle have some good players.

Mbemba also did this last week.

It's not an initiation thing, Mbemba did it as he said the gaffer told him to dress smart on match day. I'm guessing either Thauvin is taking the piss or the team liked it so much it is now a tradition.

Reports of him being a loose cannon were spot on.

McClaren wants the team to show up well dressed, no more swearing... generally a more mature atmosphere.

And since they don't have club suits yet Mbemba chose to wear the Tux. Thauvin followed suit.

While they may win this game, I actually think Arsenal's squad will struggle to cope if they have numerous injuries this season or if Sanchez has any sort of fatigue issues from playing nearly non-stop football the last 14 months. Their central midfield and striker selection is lacking compared to City and Chelsea, so I think any talk of a title push without at least a Cavani type goal-scorer is pretty much fantasy at this stage. I think Liverpool have bought very well this summer and might be favorites for that 4th spot if Sturridge can come back and be productive for them.

Hoddle is such a welcome break from Owen, could show a bit more excitement but a definite improvement from most others
