Can the resident SC physicians provide some optimism given no surgery is required here? Surely this is relatively positive??? ANYONE?!!

Hope he makes a speedy recovery. I think there’s definitely a quality player there, just needs some refining. At least we got Scarlett back to take up the minutes he’d been receiving in the meantime.

Life lesson for the lad. Next time he'll go down and stay down! At least it's only a couple of months could have been far more serious.

Might be a knee strain. Still could qualify as a small pull/tear, but may be minor enough to not even require an op like a knee scope, etc.

Our injury issues this season has been well documented, but we've had additional bad luck with the same positions being affected at the same time.

- Romero and VDV out at the same time
- 3 to 4 central midfielders out at the same time
- Perisic, Solomon and Gil out at the same time
- As soon as Son goes to Asia, Veliz gets a serious injury

Was lined up perfectly with a goal against Brighton and the FA cup game coming up next.
I suppose it's just as well we recalled Scarlett. Richarlison, at a push Johnson and Scarlett to get us through a few games this month should be fine.

A couple of months is bad but could have been a lot worse, reassuring he doesn't require surgery either. Hopefully he will be fine.

Awful timing for him personally more so given the fact he was about to have a real window of opportunity to get minuets, experience and maybe a couple more goals. IF Scarlett takes any opportunity he gets (I'm just not that expectant TBH) he might be behind him in the pecking order and by the summer we may sign another striker who usurps him further. Might never get a real chance with us again as is often the case with so many prospects. Hope I'm just blurred by disappointment for him and some pessimism.

So, we're just writing off a 20-yo lad because he is not ready to lead the line just yet?

The doctor in the family said angrily when I asked her “How do you expect me to know when I haven’t examined him or seen his scans”.

Hope this helps!

I'd be amazed if we sign another out and out CF unless Richarlisson goes and then he won't be any further back than he already is.

If scarlet has good movement and can finish, so you never know

Really sad news for him but seems the type to come back stronger. Hopefully Scarlett can be the unexpected silver lining he was always very highly rated so hopefully gets a chance to show that.

It’s gutting for him because this month was his big chance to impress, with Sonny away he was bound to get significant minutes. Hopefully Scarlett will seize his chance now though.

No surgery is a bonus but pity for him just as he seemed to be getting into his stride. Long term though it's great news.
