Phillips and Devine benched again, but hasn't worked too well. Stoke 2 up at half time.

Devine has come on for 2nd half though.

All in all good loan for both of them I think, but a shame the manager got sacked at Plymouth as Phillips was a regular before that.

This is also very common late in the season anyway, what's the point of playing a kid who won't be there next season over a player of similar level who probably will?

Having said that I thought Plymouth were safe but they can still in theory go down.

Great to see him back in the starting line up today.

Only took 2 minutes for Plymouth to concede when they took him off.

Be nice if he got a loan somewhere next season where they put more emphasis on playing the ball out - but overall think this has been a good loan for him.

I think another season long loan would be the best move for his development.

IMO Dorrington edges Phillips in pace, composure and passing. I think he's the one we should try to fast track into the 1st team, especially if we qualify for the Europa League.
