I was more upset by Modric leaving. I didn't know what Bale would become, he was a total Jonah for us for a long time, but I could already see the impact Luka had and was gutted when he left.
Interesting, I was more upset when THudd and Azza left. I know Bale and Modric were better players, but I had a much stronger emotional attachment to Tom and Aaron. Those were good days.

Next year replace Perisic, Dier, Lloris with Sarr, Udogie and a centre back (who hopefully we get in Jan).
The we should be in position to just replace one for another in other positions.
Need to bolster the homegrown for when we get back in Europe though. Naming 3 keepers in there is crazy. Phillips, Scarlett and Devine still a few years off needing to be registered. If we really were ambitious we would have just spent the money on Gallagher not worrying about selling a midfielder. We didn't need to sell to buy more homegrown.

Weren't you rolling your eyes at a poster just yesterday for wanting to add to the squad?

Bloody hell we've only just signed Johnson and Soloman is just finding his feet but people want to talk about a player we haven't even been linked too and the window is closed

What happened to focusing on our squad now and letting Ange develop our youth? :ROFLMAO:

So you want to compare the conversation around wide forwards where I named 4 young prospects all part of the managers plans with our squad announcement where we named players (Lloris and Dier) who are not in the managers plans? Good lord. I merely mentioned the obvious fact that those 2 are taking up non homegrown spots so we will need to address it next year. Although that's pretty much common knowledge anyway. It might be comparable if we had depth at centre back like we do in wide attack though. Not sure how you can't tell the difference

Mate, I genuinely enjoy your postings generally, so it's all in fun really. Just found it amusing that you're in here complaining about someone speculating who we could bring in in the next window to replace players who may soon leave (Perisic), instead preaching patience and working developing the squad or even youth players. And then the very next day, you're off in another thread doing the exact same thing: speculating on bringing in a new centre back in the next window to replace someone who may soon leave (Dier). The incongruity struck me is all.

Come on you can't seriously compare our options at centre back where we are clearly left short with the depth in wide attack. Yes we should be patient and develop the young players we have. As I mentioned in wide attack we have 4 young prospects to work with and 2 are new arrivals. We don't have enough to work with at centre back. Sorry for even mentioning it but like I said its common knowledge anyway. It's not like we need to be patient and develop Dier and unlike with Perisic we don't have depth in his position.

Exciting knowing we have him as an option.
Easy to forget because of the IB, we’re yet to see him in action.

Looked good today. Would have been an amazing first goal for the club if not slightly offside, but that first touch and composure in the finish was top class. Thought he looked strong with the ball and Jack Robinson flung himself to the ground on what was never a foul and should have been an assist.

Despite his goal being offside, executing that touch and finish on his Spurs debut won't have done his confidence any harm.

Really promising to see the composure for the goal before it got flagged. Given the situation, debut appearance at 1 nil down and through on goal. We have some really good options and variety in attack now.

Didn’t see any of the game today, sounds like he had a good debut. Looking forward to seeing highlights.

He is absolute mustard, didn’t put a foot wrong. Very unlucky for both the foul and the offside, he could’ve had an assist and a goal respectively.
