Do people just need to vent and our good start means there's limited opportunity, cos the lad would've scored in his first start (in a NLD!) if not for a fantastic save. That's good enough for me.
He mis-kicked it.

His movement was good however.

Agree, to me he just looked like someone who was still learning the tactics and isn't yet at the required fitness level whilst also playing in one of the biggest games of the season in a position he isn't as comfortable in. I really wouldn't judge him to harshly on it. It would be entirely understandable to be a little overawed by the situation, i mean watch his interviews, you can see how big a move this is for him. He just needs time imo, he will get there. But like i said, id still start Solomon ahead of him for now and leave Johnson to be an impact sub until he gets fully integrated and completely up to speed.
Agree with this entirely.

Udogie looked isolated first half and I think Solomon would have been the better pick for this game defensively but hopefully the experience will have done Brennan good and he will flourish in the coming weeks.

I don’t think anyone critiquing his performance is making any long term judgements. People need
to be less sensitive.

Have to say I’m all for it. Makes it so easy to weed out the shitheads.
Yeah but there’s still no reason for people to attack those who comment on his performance in a game. I said his finishing was poor in the game and it needs to improve. That is simple fact and everyone kicks off.
I didn’t so oh he’s a crap player awful buy but we can comment on his performance.

Has it been confirmed he picked up an injury? Read on The Athletic that he has been ruled out of Saturday’s game

When did they say that? Most, including O keefe and Gold are saying it was tightness and he should be good to go on Saturday.

It's a bit of a half-arsed, generic roundup of team news for all 10 PL matches, written by one guy. I wouldn't read anything into it, especially as Ally Gold said that both Brennan Johnson & Bryan Gil have been in full training this week.
Gold said Gil is expected to be available for selection imminently whatever that means. Considering he’s been in full training you’d think he might even make the bench if we are short

My guess is that they are using the EPL Injury Table, but it's out of date. The information that Johnson was ruled out was from 24 September when his injury had not even been assessed.
