Was at game Sat and got talking a friend of his, was actually saying I'd didn't think he was good enough which is when the guy pointed out he was a friend. He said he has found it tough moving from Nottingham to London, said he is only a kid really and in Nottingham his Mum basically did everything for him and now he is living alone in London and found adjusting hard. Said at Forest basically all the forest lads use to meet is some coffee shop and spend a lot of time together while at Tottenham a lot of the foreign lads have big families here with them so after training they went home and spent time with them. He said he feels more settled now and we will start to see a better version of him, he is obviously biased but said he is going to be a superstar at Spurs! Anyway take with a pinch of salt but what i will say i didn't really take into consideration myself that it was probably tough on him leaving home, still very young. I kind of expect footballers to be fully ready to go and don't treat them the same as i would anyone else that age but if it was me i would have struggled leaving the security of my Family at 21/22 so I'm sure it was tough on him to.
Shows us fans when we criticise a player know so little about what could be affecting their performances. Not 100% convinced by him but he does seem to have a great habit of being in the right place at the right time.

Impressed me today. Looked more confident in possession and was trying to take the FB on. In general I liked him on the left. I would keep him there for the next match.

Missed several through ball opportunities when cutting in ( hardly unique to him) but maybe his best all round performance. So so so much better off the ball - went from being so timid a few weeks ago to now really hunting for the ball.

He's definitely ahead of Deki for me. I would prefer to see him on the right though but happy that he's getting comfortable playing on either flank. 4 goals & 6 assists in the league in his 1st season at a new club? Not bad at all.

Looks like stamina was his biggest issue which was understandable considering he got injured during preseason. I wasn't sure if could play well for entirety of 90 minutes but he never looked tired. Also don't ever touch his wing back.

He deserved his starting place today.
happy for him to be on from the start or as a sub- let's hope he keeps it up (and Werner when he's on the pitch)

Really? Deki was instrumental in the first three goals. That said, Johnson looked much more decisive today. Much more like an "Ange"-winger if that makes sense.

Aggression and assertiveness in and out of possession, even if everything doesn’t come off, is all I’ve wanted to see. He brought that and then some today. A superb performance full of life and presence. A couple flashes of 1v1 potential, grabbed a lovely goal. That’s double digit goal contributions in the league in somewhat limited game time. And with so much more room to grow especially when the ball is at his feet.

Had to rewatch the goals again, I was definitely wrong about Deki's impact today. I think I was focusing on his poor 1st half and gave Johnson more credit because he was better overall and happy to see that Deki is finding his form. Would love nothing more for all of them to start clicking and the goals to start flowing. We really need to thrash a team 7-0 this season.

Cracking player and he's just going to get better. May need patience sometimes but he'll put the work in to keep improving. Certain of it.

He looks good on both flanks. The difference now is he's working harder and looking tenacious competing for the ball.

Always saw the talent, going to be the real deal

Best game for us so far by a mile today. Had cash on toast from minute one. Work rate superb, control and passing in tight spaces excellent and took his goal superbly.

love to see it!!!
