If he goes about it the right way then good luck to him.... but we now need to look to cover ourselves! How much do you think he’d go for with 18 months left of contract

Less than his true worth that’s for sure. We simply can’t sell him now though because we have no one who can come close to replicating what he brings to the team..... which is why I’ve been banging on like a stuck record for years now about getting an alternative ( even one of lesser quality).

Exactly if he had 2/3 years left on contract we would of been looking at similar to Coutinho money i think even if he went this window we would do well to get 80/100m the summer we will be looking at 60/80 at best!..... but then who do we go for Maddison? they would want 40/50 for him thats for sure

It doesn't matter so much on how long he has left on his contract as who wants him and how badly.

Don’t think this has anything to do with money this time. I’d be amazed if we didn’t offer him at least close to Kane money, it’s likely one of his final chances to end up at an elite club.

Think it’s going to come down to whether Barca or Madrid want him, we can whinge about lack of ambition as much as want simple fact is we could spend 200mil and we ain’t stopping players joining those two clubs if they want them strong enough.

He’s irreplaceable though, only hope is we spend what we earn from his sale if occurs on one player and not spread it out across three or four. We’ll spend the fee but we’d need to do it right or we will be much, much a worse side next season.

agreed but we know levy is not going to just roll over and let him go cheap however we run the risk of those clubs saying actually we can wait a year and get him for nothing.... similar to the hazard situation

Looking at Madrid there will be massive changes come next summer with underperformes out of the window and loads of new blood in. May well be they will come for some of our players with Eriksen high on the list due contract situation.

If and a big if eriksen leaves hoe far up the list will James Maddison be as his replacement?? The guy looks a knob but has that X factor I ain’t seen in a midfielder since Wiltshire thought he was a player 7-8 years ago

Pulisic is a 20 year old who has done very little apart from being best player in the USA. Not even first choice at Dortmund . He cost the top end of 60m. If Eriksen goes in the summer we must be looking at 80m at least with one year on his contract.

I’m sure we will be looking for 80 million but with just 12 months left on his contract who’s going to part with that money when they can have him for nothing a year later? I really doubt anyone is going cough up what Levy will want.

I’d love to factor in how much a replacement would cost into a new offer of a contract or signing on fee to help keep parity.

Can offer whatever we want if he keeps putting off signing the contract and is waiting for Madrid as ITK suggests our hands are tied.. simple

A summer window in which Eriksen and Toby could possibly go for nowhere near market value is absolutely gutting.

It's definitely a black cloud over an otherwise excellent season so far. Hoping there's a sensible resolution somewhere along the line.

15 goals and 24 assists in the last 3 seasons and he just turned 20 years old. Apparently every American player is "marketing" even though most Americans already follow a team in the PL. Only reason he wasn't first choice for Dortmund was his fitness.

Bale is not the right player for this club - not at this stage of his career, and with his injury history.
