Since we’re revising some old (negative) opinions today, I must admit he impressed. Lenglet’s passing and overall comfort level with the side were extremely promising signs, especially being very vocal and looking to take responsibility.

That one long ball to Richy was exactly what we’ve been missing from defense.
Agreed, I like how agreesive he is too, really comes out like Romero does

Front foot defender who is quality on the ball and good in the air. He’s exactly what we need for that position and I’m optimistic that he’s going to be quality

That was always one of his biggest attributes. He is a very front foot defender, in fact he is one of the best at pressuring opposition and winning it (and conversely looks much more shaky when dropping back which is where most of his errors have come from). Playing on the left in a back 3 he should be in front foot situations far more and I think he will excel. Looks so comfortable on the ball and he is going to be a weapon with his passing quality.

I was so impressed with that ball, initially I thought he just lumped it and was disappointed, then I realized it was right into richy's path and was blown away

And he’s trained with the team for all of four days.

People think he's going to play second fiddle to Ben Davies.

Yep, as good as Davies was last season I truly think LCB is perfectly suited for Lenglet. Awesome to have two very good players to compete there. We genuinely have 2 quality options for every position other than central CB cover for Dier. Our squad is absolutely class now

Lenglet is never going to being as defensively solid as Romero, we've actually hit the jackpot with Cuti, he's world class.

Lenglet on the ball is his biggest strength, look forward to not having to worry about him on the ball and spraying some lovely passes spreading the play but also driven balls into the middle and also down the line. His passing ability is very good.

I said in one of the ITK Daily threads that if he ends up being the most "underwhelming" signing we make this summer, we'll have had a stupidly good window. I stand by that.

He’s the proper depth we needed at CB.

Still think Davies might keep him out of the first XI — which will demonstrate that he’s actually a quality centre back

Again I think it depends on the opposition. Davies should be first choice against your Liverpools and City's, Lenglet could be a game changer against the smaller teams. He'll change our game up completely.

No one will be second fiddle. I think even Conte mentioned we need 17 or 18 first teamers... both Lenglet and Davies are starters. I like Davies and still think if there was a CL final tomorrow, Davies along with Dier and Romero would be my first choice 11 to start the game.
