Great news! Looks like utd will also have casimero snd Martinez back plus Onana has delayed his Afcon involvement so he can play us, so they will be quite strong.

Battle of the physio rooms to see who can get the most players fit!!!
Cannot have much confidence in the reserve keeper if they are going over the top to keep Onana till the day before Cameroon play. Made so many mistakes this season, not a disadvantage to us that he plays

I have a feeling we will have Romero, VdV & Dragusin to pick from for UTD. If Romero is touch and go, then at least we have the other two to give Romero another 2+ weeks to recover. I feel all three will be in that matchday squad. Maddison could also make that squad if he has no setbacks. Would be amazing to have those options with no Son, Sarr or Bissouma.

I'm not saying he has a control problem nearly as bad as Pepe, but he reminds me of Pepe, I mean this as a compliment. Pepe was incredible with Ramos, but man those guys were the dirtiest players I've ever seen, but at the end of the day they were both incredible.

This is who Romero is, a player always teetering on the verge of being sent off but you take that risk with how good he is. It's just part of his nature as a player and I wouldn't change that at all because if he does it could alter how he plays entirely.
The main difference is those guys weren't as touch in their challeneges, but they did more dirty, sly things, and they did it mainly in a pre-VAR era. Despite their absurd disciplinary records they could get away with a lot more. Romero isn't afforded that advantage

Will be huge if we can get them fit and back to the form they had together before the injures.

Will be incredible. I really feared January but so far the news has been fantastic with Bentancur returning, VDV/Romero returns on the horizon and Solomon back in training. Old Trafford will still be difficult, but to go there with actual CB's in Romero/VDV/New CB will be so refreshing.

After United though we have:

Brentford (h)
Everton (a)
Brighton (h)
Wolves(h)

A good chance to pick up some wins with what will hopefully be a strong squad available.

Was hoping Romero might be close to an early return but looks like it will be Brentford game/Feb judging by Ange’s latest comments on him still being in the early stages of his recovery

He's back at Hotspur way anyway as per Maddison Instagram.

Hopefully he's stepping up his training.
