Has Romano ever jumped the gun with a 'here we go' and got it wrong? Can't happen very often.

Seems like he waits until a deal is all but confirmed before he uses his precious catchphrase (barring failed medicals, etc). Generally seems to have a very high hit rate when he says it as presumably he wants to protect his brand.

This feels like a Friday signing. Hopefully we'll get at least a week out of him in pre-season.

Some people here say that he has direct link to Paratici. So, I hope at this time he just knows things earlier than AG

If he signs for Sunday I might just get a ticket, even if he gets paraded and doesn't play

once, i believe. David Silva to Lazio, but at the absolute last second he went to Sociedad.

Always nice when it's widely reported throughout a transfer saga that the player is really pushing to join, good sign!

All I'm getting from this is that he still hasn't signed. You guys are like players who celebrate borderline offside goals without even bothering to look at the linesman

Ssshh I'm going full on Pedro Mendes. Celebrating because I know it's over the line regardless of what officials say.

Finally I am officially a Spurs fan now. This is a massive signing. Romero is Argentina best defender since Ayala-Samuel era. Better than the prime Otamendi (who was also coached by Nuno Santo in Valencia). Please sign another quality CB. I will watch all Hotspur match for sure this season.

As an avid watcher of Argentine football, players and Serie A, buzzing for us to sign him, his "sos crack" as the Argentine says, this kid is the real deal, a no-nonsense (grinta in Italian), amazing reader of the game, athletic. Similar to his countryman Walter "el muro" Samuel who was one of the best defenders of his generation, and now one of his coaches at international level, I am confident he can be nearly as good as prime Samuel
