‘Not serious’ is a relief, but if it’s the same ‘not serious’ as Brennan Johnson’s injury then we’re still going to be without him for a couple of games. Hopefully it’s just a knock with some swelling rather than a sprain of any sort.

Maybe he faked an injury to make sure he was fit for Spurs' next game? 😇
Well, he went back out for second half thinking he should be fine. Maybe it wasn’t until he was back out on the pitch again that he could hear Ange’s voice ringing in his ears telling him not to risk our title charge, vice, mate and so he immediately asked to be withdrawn.

The most galling thing about it is that South American qualifying is an absolute joke now. Literally almost everyone qualifies or goes into a favourable playoff. It's the most pointless exercise possible.

I guess we'll find out Friday.

Hopefully he's good for Monday, but let's hope it's nothing serious.

If he was to miss a run of games it would be disastrous.

I fucking despise international breaks.

for sure its the most competitive confederation in the world, but with 6 out of 10 nations qualifying, it would take a massive disaster for Argentina not to make it

We need one signed up before end of December ready to go as soon as January comes. But we will probably wait until the third week before looking for one.
Wasn't there talk of Dorrington being used by Ange? Still very young though but would be at least worth seeing how he does. I hope we can get a good lead in some games and see him and Phillips come on for a bit. I'd like to see them first before we make that decision. Jan is still a couple months away and we've seen how well some of the other youngsters are doing. No doubt we seem short there but we may be surprised by the youngsters.

It is now and only because of the extension of teams.

Only 4 South American teams qualified from 10 last WC which I thought was better.

Still, you get some excellent games.

He’ll be fine. Did the sensible thing and has five days of recovery. If swollen, it was probably contact related.
