He plays on the edge, it is why we love the fucker. But he cost us the game. He is experienced enough to know when to calm it down, and you could feel the match was boiling over. I am so disappointed in him today.

I think 11v11, we still win, even with the injuries.

Massively let the team down tonight. He seemed hellbent on hurting someone. If he didn’t get sent off for the challenge on Enzo, I’m sure he would’ve done something else equally stupid.

Desperately need another starting quality CB in January, if these kinds of stupid mistakes start creeping back into his game more frequently then he should be backup.

Silly red.

Come off it. He knew exactly what he was doing.
How can everybody be so sure, the ball is loose and he goes for the clearance in a split second decision. Why would he deliberately gone harder in his own penalty box? I think he just went for it without thinking, the game is fast and it’s easy to judge when seeing the replay 10 times in slow motion.

Crazy player. This is always going to happen with him. I know people say he's amazing when he's on his game but we've seen defenders who can be quality week in and week out without losing their heads. Take VdV for example.

He's one of our two best in the squad but I wouldn't mind replacing him if we can bring in some quality with more composure.

There was no need for him to follow through like that. If he’d have just toe poked it away, he probably would have drawn the foul from Enzo.

As crazy as it sounds I’m more pissed off at the little kick out earlier. I still think the challenge in the box is forgiveable. A bit anyway 😂

I'm in a minority here and may be showing my age - but that was a proper old school tackle for me. Didnt see the one before that as my stream went down.

Thing is, if the Chelsea player tries to win the ball there it's a brilliant defensive challenge.

But Romero had all the momentum coming from a previous tackle and is firefighting, and the other guy backed off at the last second. Split seconds.

Ref didn't even see it as a foul in real time because Romero so clearly won the ball and wasn't over the top of it, but his momentum carried through - but lots of people get kicked in football...

Reminded me a lot of the Battle of the Bridge though, where the ref gave them free reign to Chelsea to push, pull and kick early on, so our more aggressive players tried to step in and balance things off etc.

But it's kind of like telling Vicario he shouldn't have been going into all those 50/50s he won 30 yards out etc. One slightly mistimed and another day - but he was probably man of the match...

Still, no bookings for two or three Sterling dives in the game. Multiple shirt pulls and pushes in the middle of the park that didn't even get free kicks. Their players tripping ours in the 90th-ish when we were still launching counters because we are clearly mad bastards...

Football. One of those days etc. 🤷🏼‍♂️😆

Let's move onto the next one, learn from this game and hope the squad copes with the storm. 🙏

Said it before and will say it again. He is a massively valuable player both on the pitch and in the locker room. You would be a fool to get rid of that kind of talent. You corral it and help him channel that aggression into something positive. yes, you may need to break him to rebuild him but i doubt that that is the case. He's a smart enough guy and you can bet he'll be apologizing in the locker room. Go get some competition for him so that he knows he has to earn his spot.
