Indeed he was.

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna described him as 'one of the best young strikers in world football'.

In so doing, he was no doubt reflecting on the excellent youth coaching that Dane had received at Tottenham's academy which had helped him reach those heights, including from such outstanding coaches as, er, Kieran McKenna...

:D
Will be one to watch in the future as a manager

Just watched a bit of tge Pompey v Hereford game and Dane isn't in the match day squad at all.
Does anyone know why, is he injured or have we asked not cup tie him(unlikely I know) or is he just not getting picked?

Discussion in youth thread seems to suggest we didn't want him cup tied. Strange.

I wonder if we are looking for him to be back up to Kane for the rest of the season (depending on who gets through the world cup and how January goes)

I can't see him moving upto the championship yet

Watching him against Derby now and he's keeping himself busy but have to say he ain't got much around him to work with. Really poor standard.

I haven't seen much of the game.

He looked bright in the only attack I have seen him involved in. But it looks a poor game. 3 shots on target, all for Derby

There were a couple of occasions where it was for all intents and purposes a dead ball with the Derby defender shepherding it out where Dane chased it down and got the ball. Unfortunately he only had other Portsmouth players to give it to.

Not seen much of him but from the video he seems a bit one paced and not that fast. Anybody know if this was just a deceptive video and really he has the pace of Mbappe?

He does work hard off the ball so he may have been tired at that time but it’s definitely something he could do with working on. Although at least in and around the box he has that Kane like ability to gain half a yard and get dangerous shots off, so as long as he can get himself involved in and around the box he should have an impact on matches. Definitely isn’t going to be burning defenders for pace in behind but his movement is clever so he’ll make chances that way. It seems like a lazy comparison but he is very reminiscent of a young Kane in his strengths and weaknesses
