It's about ratios, both sit between 34 - 36%.

Not that it matters, we all know Super Jan had a better range. However the stats show that he can pass, he just made the odd stray pass
Those stats and any comparison are completely meaningless without knowing the context of the passes attempted.
I’m More to an happy to judge with my own eyes and conclude he was a horrible passer of the ball. That’s when he even could even control it in the first place. How many times did he let it roll under his foot or have a first touch that took it away from where he wanted it to be.

just pleased that it seems like we don’t have to witness such a limited technical player any more. And glad it didn’t take Ange long to reach the same conclusion

Definitely the right time to go.

Vertonghen and Alderweireld were always going to be a tough act to follow.

In reality he was never going to be as good as the two who preceded him, nor is he as good as the two who are following him.

But he always looked like he cared, and was never afraid to step up. See last Tuesday in the cup at Fulham for details.

Won’t go down as a Spurs great, but he didn’t flop either, irrespective of what some may think.

Good luck, big Dav.

Brilliant attitude and a guy I always wanted to do well. Sadly there’s too much water under the bridge here and in 6 years he’s regressed rather than progressed. Wish him nothing but the best.

I appreciate the sentiment, which is admirable. But he clearly did, particularly in the context of his fee. It was a huge signing for us at that time.

Thanks for the memories Big Dav. Some real trust being shown in Phillips and Dorrington by Ange

Fee less than hoped so we didn't report it to save the awkward questions of why we rejected similar bids last week when we could have got a replacement in.

Despite his limitations I think most fans will have respect for him. Always gave his best and stood up in difficult situations, he was a victim of the management in the last 3 seasons. Good time to go and no hard feelings.

Well that’s the whole point of add ons:

same transfer:

Buying Club: “we got a bargain, 9.5m spread over 5 years.”

Selling club: “the fee rises to 14m a year with easily achievable add-ons”

the add-ons are “secret” but can be as easy as “Gala don’t get relegated”

Best of luck Davinson. I’m in no doubt he tried his best but it wasn’t up to the standards we’d hoped for. Whether that was our own hyped up expectations after the Belgian Double Act, the shameful mismanagement of the owners and shambolic choice of ego-managers who didn’t care for our players, the limitations of the player himself or all of the above, he goes with my best wishes.

Started off very well then went off the boil badly. Very sad really. I never thought he was brilliant but he was capable on his day of good things. You could tell it upset him when he didn't perform or made a mistake.

I wish him all the best.

This surprises me now we didn't bring in another CB, and definitely leaves us a bit thin at the back. But the squad needs thinning and a month ago I'd have welcomed this.
For the money Davinson has not been a success by any means. But I don't remember ever thinking he didn't give everything on the pitch for the club, so wish him all the best and good luck for the future.
