I was baffled at that one but someone else stood in as captain not so many games ago and that made little sense either... with that said I hope it's a sign of getting someone else to stand up and be captain after Hugo.
I've never been a fan of GK's being captain and yes in someways it's slightly less relevant these days but for me it's either a CB or a midfielder, they're are all a bit too nice to each other; it's been a long time since I've seen Spurs players rollocking one and other.

Back on topic Sanchez scares the shit out of me, no point me digging him out as it's very clear, I could easily name check a few others TBH.

Yeah I was thinking Son would have been more suitable, but might be as Son has been a bit weary this season and after all the pressure of South Korea’s World Cup dreams maybe Conte just felt best not to.

If he’d been in his usual form this season with his smile on his face then he may well have been captain.
