Kulu has done a lot more than Diaz but yet, Diaz is being called signing of the season in some quarters.
I think there is a reason for everything and no regrets at all on missing out on Diaz as Kulu has been a blessing and there is nothing to say Diaz would have done so well for us

Diaz has been impressive but his end product has been nowhere near Kulu's level. Diaz has looked fancy but not actually done much with it. Both fabulous players but I think Kulu is special. Not sure Diaz will translate his play into consistent end product as much as Kulu.

This guy is quality. Has so much going for him, and I’m convinced he has the makings of a great midfielder (in a three) as well.

Can we stop the Diaz comparisons though please? They’re both great players

Diaz is definitely the flashier player. He does mad tricks and has oodles of pace so naturally has caught the eye of everyone - hence the fanfare and pundits spaffing themselves.

Meanwhile Kulu has been wracking up goals and assists at almost twice the rate.

To be honest I don't think it's helpful to compare them as they're both fantastic players who have very different strengths and weaknesses. However I've always felt that, for all Diaz's talent, Kulu is a better fit for that right sided role at Spurs and has the perfect skillset to complement Kane and Son.

Having someone as unselfish as Kulu is absolutely perfect for us a team with 2 world class finishers in it (although he's not a bad finisher himself!).

Why do people start by talking about his pace? I couldn't tell you if he's pacy or not, I don't notice as he's normally got past his man and picked out a teammate.

Love him

Totally agree with this.
So many seem to say things like "if he was quicker, he could be world class" and yet, I've seen him skin people and often beat his man for pace.
I've said it before, he's not lightning but he's certainly no slouch and whatever pace he may lack (which he doesn't), he makes up for in skill and speed of mind.

100% mate. It’s not the top speed, but it’s the change of pace and how he understands how to use pace. How he slows down his defender then can burst by them when he causes them to slow their momentum. He doesn’t rely on his athleticism, but he understands how it works and he’s so intelligent in how he controls the pace of his take ons.

I think he is on par with Kane. Both deceptively slow but when they need to go into 6th gear, they do.

I remember the horde bemoaning this signing then lambasting him after his first 20min on the pitch with us.

Haha some great football minds on here

I think for a lot of players pace is important, but it's not key for all players. We have seen Dembele, Kane and now Kulusevski able to beat players easily with out it.

Not that those players are slow either

Just love watching him play. My one gripe was his miss that he should have passed to Son, but as that's the only one that says it all. To think he's still only 21 is insane to me. Bright, bright future if he stays injury free.
He did try to pass to Son, as he rounded off the keeper he saw Son which actually put him off and he lost his footing so he just hit it towards goal
If he didn't think to try and spot Son he would have scored
