It's the FB/Twitter generation, nobody can just have an off day or look good they have to be either the worst player ever and not play again or the next best thing...
I honestly couldn't believe some of the posts after the 2 poor home games, but unfortunately it's a sign of the times.
Totally agree. People have always moaned about players since well before social media but back then it was because they were either seen as consistently poor or average or had gone through a bad run of form but nowadays every moment, every pass is dissected and a player can be the best thing since sliced bread one game and needs to be transferred out of the club in the next game.

Kulu had a great game. Strong & intelligent. He also seems like he’s able to make a lot of ground without ‘sprinting’. I’m aware he doesn’t look quick but he created a lot of space for himself - he’s definitely got something about him.

He started running to celebrate at around the same time the PA announces the goal. He must've thought he might be offside again.

You’d hope as well at some point our height will start paying off. We had 9 of 10 outfield players 6ft or over*.Which will be very handy for games like Wednesday coming.

*I think Emerson is just about 6ft and Davies more or less.

Well we can all remember a certain Edward Sheringham who was never the quickest but certainly was one of the more intelligent players in the game so fingers crossed.

Agree. The ball can move faster than any player. He can clearly read the game well, like Kane, so that is a huge improvement for us.
I noticed how strong he was yesterday. Rode those niggly tackle from behind but kept the ball. Good to see.

Re the lack of goal celebration i reckon it's partly the var thing but also from the snippets i've seen he's a quieter character....he barely celebrated his own goal to start considering it was the 4th min of your first game, and a massive game at that.
Perhaps another quality in being able to keep a level head and not get caught up in the emotion of the game.

I like him.

Taking work rate out of it because both work extremely hard, he feels the complete opposite to Moura for me. I was impressed vs Wolves but he was magnificent yesterday. I mean for Conte to trust him to keep him on for the 90 minutes and for him to deliver just feels absolutely huge to me.

I think what's important for us now is figuring out teams who sit back and what I'm interested to see is the dynamic between Kulusevski and Moura. I believe the secret vs these teams is to get the 4th attacker on the pitch at the expense of the RWB and you can interchange Moura and Kulusevski in that role as Moura could underlap instead of overlap in certain situations you can have Kulu as the RWB or swap it round depending.

I like his quiet confidence and intelligence. He's going to link well with Kane. Pace isn't an issue if you're quick of mind.

He uses his body so well. He knows he doesn't have pace. It's what Bale does now as he has gotten older and lost his pace and its what Kane does. Less direct sprints and slowing things down to the right pace. He comes across as one of those players who has a habit of making the game play at his own tempo. Also showed great fitness and its still early in the Conte regime for him. We've really missed this type of player since Eriksen left. The technical ability and vision mixed with hard work. Still early days but keep this up and he'll be every bit as good as Grealish at less than half the cost.

His movement for the his 1st goal is very good. Held back and gave himself more space

Watch his goal again. I liked the way he half checked his run which gave him the space he needed. He's got a brain.
He does well to get himself back onside too. The disallowed goal almost came off, you could see just as the ball left Davies foot he had just got back onside. It was just a fraction too late. The winning goal he was a good yard on with it. Very clever young player. It's the type of intelligence you either have or don't as a young player that can't be taught.

Didn't watch the game so can't comment on his performance, but definitely sounds like he had a good game.

I did find this clip of the third goal though. He didn't celebrate the goal at all until, what appears to be, Conte telling him to, which I thought was odd.

I think that's more to do with the VAR decision. He was celebrating like fuck after that, and it got disallowed. If you watch him he's looking at the big screen and when no VAR interference comes up he's going nuts.

What a guy. What a game.

Proper footballer, doesn't need pace because he uses his body well, has great positioning and is always playing with his head up.

Love the juve "rejects"!
