That pass that lead to the luton counter for their goal was shockingly bad. Was 90% his fault and 10% son for for not keeping possession
That pass was really bad but let's be honest, bad pass made in attacking penalty area should never be a reason why we conceded a goal

Plenty of people pointing out he keeps cutting in onto his left foot and some concluding he should therefore be brought inside more central.
So not one single solitary person seems to wonder if perhaps he ought to be tried ON THE LEFT WING!
Just putting it out there.
I have said that for a while. We lack width sometimes and play narrow so have players as orthodox wingers

Things get very congested when we have inverted wingers and FB all trying to occupy the same space. Johnson is very effective when he keeps the width and whips crosses in and there's no reason not to experiment with Kulusevski doing the same on the left imo.

Just my opinion, but I think Ange lives with Kulu cutting in/coming in-field when Maddison is more active and dropping in deeper pockets to pick up the ball

He hasn’t got the pace or acceleration. He won’t be able to create the separation needed and he won’t be able to get in behind teams.

All that will happen is he will end up having loads of crosses blocked and will turn inside on to his weaker foot and probably lose it.

He isn’t a wide player. He needs to play centrally.

This is the maddest bit of the whole shebang....he does have a right foot. He smashed in a glorious top corner goal rightfooted to win a match a few months back (forget which), he's also assisted with right foot passes.

Kulu's an enigma wrapped in an er... another enigma or something .
Assisted with a right footed cross in Swedens game against Albania as well, don't understand why he isn't using his right more.

Yesterday showed that surely? You are there is no reason. Even if it’s just a 15 min switch in a game..just try it..what could happen?

I think it’s his pace he doesn’t have confidence in (and rightly so) more than his right foot. In order to use it he mostly has to stand someone up and beat them for pace which he’s not often going to do. I hope they’re practicing those little one-twos that work so well for Johnson and Porto, but in order to use his right foot well Deji needs to earn some space and time first, which doesn’t happen often outside.

We do need to take some more shots from outside the box though, just ideally more from central areas.
Been saying it for years now, ever since pep rocked up at Citeh everyone has decided to try and walk the ball in to the net.
Really don’t understand it, passing up the opportunity to get a shot off and instead giving the ball away whilst trying to pass it sidewards again.
Nothing better than seeing a 25 yarder being smashed into the top corner in my book, it almost feels like shooting from distance is being coached out of the players.

Son seems to be the best at it but after Porro in the cup I would expect to see him hit a few, Sarr does on occasion but even just getting a save off the keeper and rebounds will create great chances.

I would be looking to have Kulusevski and Sarr right central with Maddison and Lo Celso left central each competing. Get Bentancur in the central 6 role competing with Bissouma. However we need to improve the wide attacking options next season. For now Kulusevski is fine competing for wide and central positions. I think Maddison is struggling central where it gets congested so a little tweek to the system where we play a 3 in midfield with him or Lo Celso left side of the 3 would work well.
I don't think Kulu can do Sarr's role. A lot of work, effort, and discipline required to do his role. So underrated what Sarr does.

He’s got a very good cross on him but with our current striking options he would be just as ineffective on the left as he is on the right. Kane dominated in the air and with the ball at his feet, whereas Son has no aerial presence and Richarlison isn’t a starter due to his limitations. Should we sign a new striker who is decent in the air then we may see the best of Kulu on the left.

Ange stated that he took Kulu off because he kept playing centrally instead of staying wide. The strange thing is that we created two great chances and they both came from Kulu. Son hit both posts from the nudged pass he made, and Timo shot wide from his fine long ball. The system we are playing is actually restricting the impact Kulu can have on the game. Neither of the roving full backs are currently having much influence, and Maddison is not on form. We need to find space for Bentancur and Kulu. The first 30 or so mins against Villa at home were great until Benta was injured, ironically GLC, Benta and Kulu were playing. Bissouma is way off it at the moment.

I don't necessarily believe Sarr's position would be good fit for Deki (and Sarr is amazing at what he does), but he is our hardest working player, and his discipline was crucial for us while Porro was finding his feet.
