You just know this deal will drag until Aug 31st. All because of Gibson being a muppet. He won’t get what he wants, so he’ll instead make everyone wait, just to feel like he got his pound of flesh. Which really makes me want us to pull the plug and leave him looking like the schoolyard bully that he is. Alas, I know how important the HG quota is, therefore we will stick with it until the bitter end. But deary me. He sounds so petty. He’s gonna get a fat check for a somewhat unknown entity, but ‘cos he has to have dick measuring duel with Danny, he wants to make it annoying and painful.
I feel most sorry for Spence. As Gibson really is treating him poorly, in making this drag on much more than it needed to…. All to prove a point that he is also a master negotiator. Meanwhile the player himself is stuck in the middle. Doesn’t get to integrate with the team and suffer with the rest of them in pre season training… which we all know can be very bonding. Instead, he will be playing catch up for the better part of three months.

Cant hurt if true. Although if I was Boro, I’d be asking for Parrott. I’m not sure Dane is ready for the upper half of the Championship. That said, they do this for a living so…

And when the boot has been on the other foot we have lauded Levy on his business skills. Gibson is doing nothing wrong and is looking after his club. Annoying isn’t it?

Perhaps not yet but I reckon give him ten games coming on as a sub and he'd grow into it. I think he's good enough, he just needs to get a few goals at a higher level to prove it to himself.

Also I realise Spence is expensive with the HG Tax but Leicester would want crazy money for Maddison. Hopefully this gets done and we can move onto the next target.

So safe to assume our other targets would have been Di Lorenzo and/or Singo if Spence wasn't happening.

Got a feeling once Spence is (hopefully) successfully concluded then our other business will follow relatively quickly as the HG quota is clearly the bottleneck here not the financial package.
