Just seen 2-3games when he played but looks really awful on the ball in passing and composure, maybe i have just seen bad games of him ?

He’s been top of my list for a long long time. Just a well rounded, complete full back. He’s very similar to Tanganga defensively and athletically. Powerful runners, and very physical without the ball. Both good in the air, let the opposing winger know they’re there. Both very aggressive. Make life difficult for attackers 1v1. What separates them is honestly just experience and technical development. Emerson has very good delivery from out wide, and he is very good at multiple types of delivery, from deep, driven on the ground, etc. Doesn’t have the raw pace as Tanganga, but definitely quick and fast enough. He’s certainly better than Tomiyasu, but how much do the club value Tomiyasu’s versatility, which is an asset.

I think we are just making up names now haha - never heard of him.

I am usnure why we arent going for Celik now that Tripps may stay at Atletico. Decent player although he was shit in the Euros then again the whole Turkish team were.

Emerson would be another very shrewd acquisition. He's big, strong, quick, only 22 but has already played 3 full seasons in La Liga and has continually progressed in each, capped by Brazil. Fantastic crosser of the ball, has an eye for a pass and gets stuck in defensively. An immediate improvement on both Serge and Doherty, get him in and bin them two off.

He is a player ive made numerous posts about previously when discussing who we should target as our new RB. He is pretty much everything we could want and reminds me a little bit of Ricardo Pereira in his style of play.

He's the Brazilian Matt Doherty
With all due respect, that might be the the furthest from the truth, and I’ve seen many many Betis games. Whether he has the same level of success as Doherty is another thing, but their styles are completely different. He’s aggressive and sturdy defensively, especially in 1v1 situations, he has a consistent dangerous delivery, and his best aspect is definitely not his subtle movement into the box and attacking movement, which is Doherty’s. I mean, Emerson isn’t the fastest, but he’s 100% much more mobile than Doherty. I also don’t know if your post was sarcastic or not, so I apologize.

I remember there were some vague links to him earlier this summer, and as I said then, he would be an excellent option for us. One of the few fullbacks available that would allow us to play Reguilon and an 'attacking' right back at the same time. He is a big unit, quick and whips in a great cross from deep.

He's also an aggressive defender and loves a challenge, but isn't as rash as Serge. I caught a couple of Betis games last year and there were times when the left hand side of the opposing teams attack did nothing because Emerson had marked them out the game.

If we get him loan with an option it would be unreal business imo, can only see him getting better. He looks like a premier league fullback.

Yeah it was a joke, I haven't seen him play (well brief appearances for Barca so far this season but not enough to judge). I know he's very highly regarded after his spell at Betis.

Damn, that was out of the blue indeed. I'd be very happy with this. As a RB, he tempts me much more than Tomiyasu (but I think Tomiyasu would be a good CB addition).
