It's time for him to leave sadly. If we could have had him on the pitch more often I'd be against it for the reason he offers much in terms of desire and he does much more in terms of goal contributions than Winks, for example.

Unfortunately, we can't rely on him to stay fit and we really need to get money for him now and give space to the future.

Phenomenal ability 1 of the most talent players I've ever seen but read the game worse than Gary Doherty

He has 1 more goal/assist than Winks this season...

Fitting that his last goal for the club was a Robona :D

Good luck to him, served us well but it's definitely time to move on.

I like Erik. Has passion and leaves it all on the pitch which can't be said for many of his teammates but its time to move on.

I can see Jose coming in and taking him back to Roma.

Besides his passion, Erik is far more talented than many here give him credit. For instance, he has much better vision for a pass than most on the team. I strongly believe that if others could read the game as well as he, he would have been even more effective for us. So many of our players lacked intelligent movement off the ball (if any at all).

He was unfortunate to have so many injuries & not get a good run of games in. Seemed to kill any momentum he would have.

One thought I had was to play him deeper, next to PEH. His perception & tenacity just in front of our defense could help win back the ball sooner & provide much more of a protective shield for our D as opposed to Sissoko or Winks. He's also smart enough to be more composed in our own 3rd & avoid fouling there.

But to compare him to Winks in terms of goal scoring... ...that's so unfair. Winks offers f**k all & he's a coward.

I'll be sad to see Erik go but it may be the last chance to get a good fee for him. He truly played for the shirt. I wouldn't bet against Jose taking him back to Roma. As much as I didn't like Jose's style of play, he understood Erik's value.

I agree with a lot of that except for playing him deeper. He dwells a little too long with the ball for mine to play in that role.

Bye Coco. Thanks for everything. Love you always. You embody everything a footballer should be. All fight. All heart. Never giving up. Hope to see you back when we commission the statue(& we fucking better).

I like him, seems like a nice guy. But flashes now and then and overall regrettably he has been disappointing and a bit average.

Only 2 more league goals in 8 years than he had in his last season alone at Roma.

Hope someone in Italy will give us 10mil for him.

Gonna miss him, sorry he didn’t get much game time last few games. As someone else said, cult hero. Love him or hate him he loved this club and fought for the crest which is a lot more then many others have.
