Shame it’s only for a season. Takes quite a lot of the shine off IMO
Not sure it would be smart to commit to 2 years considering we have no idea if he can stay healthy to justify the wages he’s making. I’m sure if it works out he’ll be back for another season. He sure as hell won’t be back at Madrid so long as Zidane is there.

We don't know that though. Let's wait to get disappointed for just another couple of hours.

I personally can't wait. All this happiness is unhealthy.
When we don't buy Wout, I'm going to be inconsolable for at least half an hour.

It being a one-year loan deal doesn't reduce my excitement at all. I idolised Bale from age 12-15, and my dream has always been that he'd return one day. Just because it's one-year for now doesn't mean he won't be here for longer. Chill.

Think he’ll be here for a few years. Just annoyed that my book wont pay out on a loan.

I initially thought that but maybe its just Levy safeguarding the club.

Which considering the time is a good thing to do. If Bale does well something will be worked out.

Fucking hell let's not start moaning that it's only a year...

We've brought Gareth bloody Bale back!!

Besides, he won't go back to Madrid - guarantee he'll be here at least two years if this season goes well.

It'll be longer than 1 year, reckon we'll get him permanently next year.

Levy definitely worked some stuff into this deal.

Option four all the way, we’re going full Medieval Ozzie!
Get Dele up as close to Kane as possible with son and bale interchanging.

ossie you say
He's the only other one I think you could put in that sort of bracket.

very special when Gary Lineker joined - he'd won the golden book at the WC 86, brilliant under El Tel at Barca before getting politically hit by Cruyff. Then red rose wanted him for Utd and he picked us! First season - top goal scorer, that summer is WC 90 and all that, following season we almost went bankrupt but ended with some glory....

Point is that GL joined he was at the absolute top of his game.

Absolutely loved the Jurgen signing and, hopefully, the Bale one but 1989 was massive.

He’s chosen us over other options like United that offered big packages and it’s been quoted that he views Spurs as “home”.

I doubt the plan is to uproot his life and young family for just a year. Barring things going extremely poorly, I’m sure they’ll sort out the details over the next year and he’ll be staying.
