It's the old mentality issue. He's drifted away from the competitiveness, the desire, to being used to sitting back and being away from the action.

Very difficult to retrain the brain, but this is all in his head.

People really underestimated what positive impacts a player like Bale will bring and make to the rest of the squad.

Agree, as I said a few pages earlier these boring crappy walk in the park Europa games just aren't gonna motivate him. Especially without an audience, Better to have used Clarke as he'd have played out of his skin in these things.

I don’t get why anyone really cares? If the season carries on like it is and we’re top of the league who’s going to mind if Bale has played 1 game or 30?

The first team is doing well and is setting the standard. If shit hits the fan or we have an injury crisis and Bale starts playing more and we start losing or whatever then it becomes an issue. At the minute it’s a non issue.

Or having an experienced player who can come in and change the game in and instant with 10 to 15 minutes of a game. Like he's already done.

Behave, Clarke is fucking shit. He'll never make it here and Bale is still a class above him.

I felt, when we signed him, if he could give us five brilliant free kicks, he'd be worth it, because we totally sucked at that ever since Christian stopped giving a crap. So IMO, one down and four to go.

You also said Josh Onomah was a “baller” so you might forgive people for giving your thoughts a wide berth.

Anyone who watched the Spurs academy would know how big of a talent Onomah was

And he played really well at the end of the season for Fulham helping them get promoted, he’s been injured for pretty much every game this season, he can still have a good season and career

Exactly, it's a long season why are people writing him off in December. He's got plenty of time to make more impact and he's a big game player.

At least wait till the season is over before people write him off totally. Ridiculous the stick he's getting IMO.

Nah, he’s finished, I support Fulham and he shouldn’t get ANY MORE minutes.

Even if his on the field impact isn't what it was it's worth the loan just for the off the pitch impact must've brought to the squad, plus if us bringing him back in any way helped get the Reguilon deal done then again it's been well worth it. IMHO

On the field I don't recall how many times he's regularly played with our strongest XI which I don't think has helped.

Really hoped these europa group matches would allow him to up his fitness and sharpness, but still feels like its his first day of pre-season
