A top top player on a free is a no brained. It strengthens us immediately.

Now we can focus on our next targets.

Its going to be an exciting summer. Conte wants to make us competitive in the title race next season and I think that we will be.

When will we know squad number? I'd love to get his name on the back (or Kulu).
Reckon he’ll get 14 if Rodon goes.

I‘d hold fire on Kulusevski until numbers are revealed as he did have a thing for 44 (which Scarlett had) so who knows if he’ll ask to switch, although does wear 21 for Sweden and bought him good fortune for us.

Must admit I did think 100k was a bit low for him, especially as it's a free transfer

Interesting idea but if we bring in Bastoni would make little sense as the two of them already have a great understanding.
why is bringing in Kostic necessarily means not playing Perisic and Bastoni on the left? it could be Davies LCB Kostic LWB or Kostic LWB Sessegnon LW in certain games

For me it only makes sense if we intend to use Perisic as a RWB. I know there's an understanding there with Bastoni (if he comes) but Kostic on the left and Perisic on the right would still probably make us stronger than Perisic on the left alongside Bastoni and a potentially uninspiring option of the right.

Still, not sure we've seen enough to suggest that we intend to play Perisic anywhere else or that we still hold an interest in Kostic.

With his ability with both feet I’m sure this could be possible, as well as his general adaptability and class, but I don’t like this idea. He’s be put into new zones on the pitch and required to see the pitch from a whole different view really for the first time in a while. I could be wrong, but I think he’s played on the right fewer than 50 times in his long career, and it hasn’t been for a long time. With the caveat that it’s easier as a wingback probably to make this switch (Doherty this season) and Comte’s help, he’s a proven quantity on the left and I wouldn’t want to take any risk that could hurt his performance.

Perisic has been amazing at LWB for Inter. It'd be foolish of us to sign him and try and force a new role on him. By all means consider him there as an emergency or use him as a backup option in the forward line but surely that's the extent of it.

I agree, I just think if we are any bit interested in Kostic still that it may be the mindset as I can't see Sessegnon, Perisic and Kostic vying for one position. And because of that, as well as like you say, Perisic's performance at LWB, as of now I don't quite believe we do still hold interest in Kostic.
