Same with solanke taking out romero in the air, not even attempting to go for the ball. Theres a reason that's a sin bin in rugby - it's dangerous as fuck

I think he will enjoy it if he stays this season. He’s at the end of his career, why wouldn’t you fancy playing in the PL coming on for the odd game or starting here or there while on a good wage and living in London. He’ll get plenty of game time. There’s worst places to be for a footballer.

Yep. He was deliberately trying to take out our players all game. The ref let him get away with it

He’s now playing for a coach who knows how to maximise his strengths and mitigate his weaknesses. We should have had one of those a couple of years ago, but apparently only a world class Manager would have been able to persuade Danny to spend properly.

It's an interesting one with Perisic - Conte obviously knows the PL and knows Perisic, however his comments were along the lines of Perisic not being the same player he had at Inter. So it looks like a case of Conte misjudging the combination of Perisic at LWB in the modern PL. The exact same player and just a few years in between Conte's PL experience, but it simply didn't work.

To argue against Conte's record is tricky, and to argue against Perisic being a Conte-type player is equally tricky. It just goes to show how much of a knife edge this stuff rides on, and why it isn't as easy as us fans sometimes make it sound on a forum!

Like you say, Ange has seemingly chosen to play Perisic as a LWF (and as a sub for now) which maximises his strengths and limits his weaknesses. Ange is really making the most of the players available.

As long as he’s happy to be mostly on the bench with the odd first team appearance I’m more than happy to keep him this year until we get a younger replacement next summer.

2 assists yesterday and created another goal. Played on both LW and RW and was excellent. Very weak opponent and he had plenty of space but still:

Quality outing today...he has more end product than Solomon for sure, albeit think at this stage in his career he's more of an impact option.

Also interesting that he took over set piece duties and got the assist from the corner.

That wasn't his only decent ball into the box - just the only one we scored from. How many goals / chances does a player need to create in a late cameo appearance for you to not consider their performance "poor"?

Was Richarlison also poor, bar the goal and assist?

Was Son poor last match, bar the hat-trick?

Created 1 chance ( the corner kick ) not sure where all these others chances he created you mentioned.
