Will be interesting to see what system Ange will play to fit him in.

I'm still not convinced by him as a person, seem a bit too much of a Dele lifestyle boy but he's undoubtedly talented.

Think that’s a bit of an outdated take honestly. He has a young family now and seems to have knuckled down in the last 2-3 years.

His missus is pregnant with twins right now too, so more on the way! Given she's a model I'd imagine a move to London is much more appealing to them as a family than Newcastle.

I was sceptical too given his reputation but it sounds like he's going to be far too busy chasing small kids around to be out partying all the time! :ROFLMAO:

I’m sure @freeeki can confirm, but he also makes our team a lot better looking. Him and Bentancur in the middle - swoooon
I want Bentancur to be back as much as the next person but there is a long way to go with his injury and then getting him back to where he was may take time/never happen. I hope we factor this in and continue to push for shoring things up, because nothing is a given.

for all my whining criticism of daniel levy, something might actually have changed. There is some very unusual behaviour going on, getting deals done early, getting the players the manager wants, and having a manager that plays progressive football. Better late than never I guess.

Just expecting my alarm to go and realising it was all a dream and we're back stuck with Conte-ball and Delusional dan.
It’s not all that surprising. Both signings are good value for the money and the players will be worth considerably more once signed. Levy has always been able to get deals done quickly when the price is right.

I'm very happy about this, i wanted us to sign Maddison ever since he was at Norwich and was gutted when he went to Leicester. I live in Norwich and have watched quite a few games over the years and saw him live a few times and on TV and you could see the skill, the touch on the ball and the great free kicks he could take. If it is 40 mill that is a great piece of work as he is an England international in his prime and scores and assists a lot.

Do we think that we can play Deki and Maddison in the same side?

We have all thought Deki looks better when not out wide but now seems as if Maddison is taking that more central role

Great problem to have obviously and I think this is a great signing
We can do anything we like they're our players😊

For £40mil we’d be getting a 26yr old PL proven England international who is as creative as they come, goal and assist threat and set piece master, would be an absolutely fantastic signing, would finally be an eriksen replacement, would bring excitement to our play and would suit Ange's style of football well.

Id be very very happy with this and it would be a fantastic piece of business.
