Transformed us, what a player, he is exactly what I think of when I think of a Tottenham player, so classy and creative, shit myself when I thought he’d done his knee.

We need GLC back and moving forwards a more reliable creative option on the bench as we can’t become overreliant on Maddison, as soon as he, Johnson and Son went off our threat went down hugely.

Absolutely quality and so instrumental in everything we do going forward, even when he drops deep he's doing it intelligently to alleviate pressure or to calm things down, proper playmaker.

My only real worry is we don't have a like for like replacement should he get injured, tired or some into some poor form. Without him we have to play a little bit more rigidly and become a little bit tame. A backup should be next to another CB at the top of our shopping list.

Yeah, didn't even feel he had his best game today but he's still incredibly effective. The stars have aligned. He was born to play for Spurs.

Absolute key man for us. We can hardly string together a single attacking sequence without him. We badly need another playmaker in the squad for when he’s not on the pitch

Praying he is not actually injured. Absolutely key to our game, just a great footballer and proper playmaker. Guess my favourite Spurs player right now.

I’m worried about the next couple months and him picking up an injury as I think we’ll massively struggle but I am hopeful if Bentancur comes back to what he was pre injury we have another creative outlet, albeit not quite same level.

Such a classy player, born to play for Spurs

He will be so key for us this season. Has to wrap him in wool before and after every game.

But I would love for Big Ange to try Kulu as the no. 10 in games Maddison went off, if GLC is still not available. Then push Porro up with Royal playing at the back.

Another top performance from Madders .He seemed to be running OK after jarring the knee and it's not packed in ice so hopefully good to go next Saturday after a bit of physio during the week.

No mid-week games - a blessing this season.
It really is. Allow us to bed in this year under Ange. Get back into Europe, add to the squad - push on in all competitions next season

As for this guy, 2 goals and 4 assists, alongside being the creative fulcrum of the side.

For 40m. Mental. Best buy I can remember

Haven't bought a jersey in years, haven't had a name on the back of any jersey since Van details Vaart. Considering getting Maddison on the back of one of them this season.

I'm 34 fucking years old

I like to think I know my football. I knew he was good obviously.

I don't know if he's upped his game or it's being around better players, but wow....he is an absolutely superb player. Like - a top top player

All I've seen this week in the comparisons with Spurs and Arsenal is that Ødegaard is better than Maddison.

No way I'd swap Maddison for anybody in world football currently.
