Well over half his career goals have been in the championship and French Ligue 2 as well, which makes the no relegations boast a little weirder as well. I don’t really think comparing CVs with Maddison is a good move for Neil fucking Maupay
He's really made a twunt of himself here, from every angle imaginable.

He has. But by all accounts he's actually a really nice guy off the pitch. He just loves getting involved in all the trash talking and doesn't mind being the pantomime villain - similar to how we viewed Richy/Maddison before we signed them.

I’m surprised Maddison even noticed the celebration tbh. I did initially think why does he care but I guess they are kinda mugging him off so I guess he saw it like that. It’s good to have a player that other fans are going to proper hate. Haven’t had one of those since Dele.

That chip he tried in the second half…if that had come off would have been one of the best goals ever scored.

It was outside flick of the boot, lofted, with spin.

Was sat in block 501 in the west upper.

Audacious.....loved it

I just hope he is ok to play Saturday with such a short turnaround. We've missed him so much.

We won so all his antics just adds to the entertainment.

I can't dislike him, especially when he's been boiling Arsenal's piss for years.

It was a great return from long term injury.

If I'm being a little over critical (and this isn't Maddison's fault) I think the reason our attacking play was a little bit off in the 1st half was that he was taking a beat longer to release the ball. Could just be him feeling he needs an extra half-second to make sure he's balanced before playing the pass, but that beat translates to a defender covering another 5 yards on the pitch.

That's the difference between being 'fit' and 'match-fit'.

Absolutely no doubt after another couple of outings he'll be smashing it.

I just love him. He speaks so well, without the standard footballer soundbites in there. He's so honest. Refreshing to watch a footballer give interviews like this, every time he's in front of the camera.

Wasn't himself first half, but second half was getting back to the Madders of the first 10 games.

Quite impressive figures in his first full start yesterday, watch out Everton

His 110 touches were the most he has had in any Premier League game so far in 2023-24, making 81 passes – again a season-high – and having a passing accuracy of 91.4%. Obviously, his best of the campaign.

“If you don’t believe something special can happen the it never will”.

Can see why Ange likes Madders and why Madders likes Ange.
2 peas 🫛 in a pod with their mentality, but also shows Ange’s mentality is rubbing off on the team also.

Need more players in the game like Maddison. Loves the banter, can take and give it out in equal measure.
