I think he has to bring one of the kids up(Dorrington) and hope they cope. If he isn't going to change the way we play, he has to change the personnel or we are going to see Dier lose footrace after footrace and it's going to cost us points every week. When we went down to 9 last night it was suicidal football to play that high line with the CB's we had on the pitch. A good team would have seen us lose by 7 or 8.

Really hope Ange is brave enough, if it’s a few games then maybe Davies or Dier could do a job but it’s likely to be about 10. We need pace. Chuck the kids in and let them fly

9 PL games until the transfer window opens, unless we can find a solution from within that is going to be absolutely season defining.

He suffered a hamstring injury at Wolfsburg and missed 12 games for them that season.

While that is worrying for us in the short term, if he recovered well enough to keep the pace we have seen thus far then hopefully he’ll be able to do it again.

9 until it opens but we won't sign a player on January 1st. So you're looking at 10-12 games with what we've got now.

I really just can't believe what I saw. That was a devastating 45 minutes and the cherry on the cake was VDV. We truly must be cursed, honestly. I just hope and pray it's not a complete rupture and that he can be back to his best when he's back, whenever that may be.

It also highlights a weakness there and we will need to manage him better going forward - especially when we inevitably return to European football.

I think it was a very unlucky moment in the aftermath of Romero being sent off and him busting a gut to get back into a stretched defence. But we do need more options at CB no doubt.

Sorry no, but I played Nat 1 rugby my whole life and a stress fracture in my lower back lead to me having hamstring problems constantly and the way he pulled up and screamed that is definitely a tear.
Yeah, it didn't look like a pull. Looked a lot more severe than that. Let's just hope he has a low pain threshold and that the injury isn't as bad as it looked. But I think we're clutching here. I can't see him playing again until well into 2024.

I really believe the constant stoppages and breaks in play contributed massively to his injury last night.
The way we play it was inevitable at some point, a high line that relies on his pace to get us out of trouble game after game is asking for trouble.

It's disappointing, however it does give Dorrington and Phillips the chance to step up.

Let's hope one does
