One race I would have been interested in last night was VDV v Walker. Shame that situation never really happened. Reckon Micky could give him a run for his money. Absolute monster of a unit. Quick and puts in clean, full blooded tackles. Oh and his interaction with De Bruyne was funny. I love him.
Agrred on this, but I was more interested in the match up between Udogie and Walker. I thought Walker did not get the best of that physical battle, only time was then Udogie slipped at the begining

Had a very good game I though (in fact all defense did).

Thought the back 4 looked more like the unit we had early season and we restricted the number of chances city had well, especially given they were on top in midfield and our front 3 had little service, so it was a rare game we had to defend more.

Thought he was fantastic today.
His speed in insane.
Helped Vic out in the second half taking position in front of him to take Everton's space.
Great game from the lad.

From what I've seen so far this season, especially yesterday, I'd rank him as well ahead of Gvardiol. Can anyone think of a young CB who is better, or even as good?

His recovery pace is insane, especially when he covers across to the opposite flank. Absolute gem of a player.

The guy is class! I wouldn’t be surprised if a big bid is made for him this summer by Madrid or someone like that. I would say a Prem team as well but they probably know they’d get no luck with Levy involved.

None of these clubs can afford him

I think we'd have to be in a situation where we needed to sell to even consider that and Levy has got us on such a solid financial footing that I don't see that happening any time soon. By contrast, the Spanish league is not in good shape. I also think Micky is a very solid character so I don't see him agitating for anything in the forseeable future. He'll have seen first hand how we fought off Bayern and Barcelona this window for players they very much wanted and that must be reassuring that we are now pretty big hitters and moving forwards quite convincingly. Add in Ange and you have to think 'why would he want anywhere else?'

This isn't 2014 - all the clubs in Europe are broke now.
