What exactly did people expect when we signed him? 20 goals and a dozen assists?

He was bought to be a rougher upper, to point him at the opposition and let him run them around. He's chipped in with a few assists and half decent contributions.
Yes he was over priced but we needed another big strong lad. I wish I could find a video clip of him winning the ball at RB vs Leicester and holding off 3 players before dribbling forwarrd then releasing Kane with a lovely little pass.
That's what he can do and, as others have alluded to, isn't too dissimilar to Dembélé if not as good.

this. the 'pacey wing wizard who can chip in goals/assist" role is taken up by nkoudou. either nkd becomes that or we sell him and replace him. sissoko has a specific skillset thats useful against certain opponents. nkd spot is that spot that's taking up that wing wizard place

He's gone. Toast. Vamos. No point arguing over his best position. That will be someone else's problem

The only similarity I see between Sissoko and Dembele is their first names. Oh, I forgot , they also both speak French.

Have to find a buyer first, Levy won't sell him on the cheap.

I agree, for that reason I can see him being loaned out in the slight hope that he impresses that team enough to buy him for more than the 5m he is worth right now. At least his wages will be covered.

He just scored a goal for France. An actual goal in an actual professional football match.

Then again Giroud also just scored a hat-trick in the same match so it says a lot about the opposition.

He never even got into the opposing penalty area for us, let alone the 6 yard box. Maybe he's a natural born striker deadly at finishing when completely unchallenged .

No way will he get loaned out: who would pay his wages? What if he gets injured?

Can't decide if I should feel bad for laughing at this.

Might get shot down in flames here...but with Trips out injured, does anyone else reckon he could do a job in the wing back role? I think he could be an option. I'm not overly convinced Dier is suitable for that role.

At the prices we'd be quoted in this market, think this is a blessing in disguise for Sissoko and for Spurs. Think he'd be a revelation in a RWB role, could be a masterpiece of serendipity.

Hope it happens and he thrives, him and trips is a solid look for the season with KWP in the wings.

Give him a go at RWB. If he can do a job there then keep him in the squad as he can cover a few positions in a pinch. Getting him running in straight lines could be good for us

It would be so bizarre if he became some sort of answer at RWB for us.

He's not struck me as someone particularly disciplined when tracking back, and is prone to lose the ball. Not great attributes, but they can be coached out of him

I hope he plays and has a barnstormer today. I know he's not really set the Thames on fire yet but what better place than St. Janes' Park to quieten the boo boys.
