strangely I thought it was his best performance yet
First half he was up there for MOM. Think he knew he only had 60 mins in him so put the lot into that. Love the kid. A lot of people think Bentancur will walk into the side for him, I'm not so sure. Bents is brilliant, but Sarr's legs are a massive part of what we do.

We certainly have one of those “good problems.”

Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison and Bentancur are all excellent but are best centrally.

If there’s to get them all playing to the benefit of the team we have a winner.

Great options and we need them.

Bentancur has come back from a major injury and will understand that he is bedded in slowly whereas Sarr is playing his first season at this level and seems an excellent character and I don't think he will be disheartened if he has to start a couple of games on the bench.

Also - subtle - but watch Romero - as the ball goes over his head, he instinctively positions himself to guard the far post if Raul did get a header in that direction.
Thats why Dier could never get to another level.

He has a tendency to panic or just switch off and leave it as he doesnt think there is a chance.

Romero is one of those who just has that instinct, he doesnt need remind himself or think, it just comes naturally.

This is such a great example of how we often see things differently. I thought he was quiet last night compared to previous games. His usual swagger wasn’t there. But then again, he has set his bar so high, it’s unfair to expect him to play that way every game.

As for AFCON…. might be two games max. And yes, hopefully Benta is back and Lo Celso is still around, as is PEH. Plus, you never know if we might be considering a new 8 on loan.

Frankly, Biss will be a bigger miss.

He's been so good all season, every bit as good as Bissouma.

His passing was even better today.
I think he is the one that will be in trouble when Bentancur is up and running and hopefully back to his best. Sarr has the engine and was better than Biss today but I think he is still developing whereas I think Bissouma is the one player who can dominate midfield.

He’s one of the main reasons we can play how we play. Absolute engine and great without the ball
The last 2 games have been especially immense.

It's the mixture of a great engine, positional play and always working for the team.

Today his passing was excellent. If Kulu had played him in, he might have got a goal and put us 3-0 up.

Nobody will be in "trouble".

I think we have 3 players who will rotate in and out of 2 positions - once Bentancur is up to speed.

Its a GREAT spot for Spurs to be in - nobody will be run to the ground, and we can bring in a solid CM sub in every game (save the AFCON absences)

That second half was the best I've seen from him. He looked every bit the all-action midfielder that was being compared to Yaya Toure in France. Energy, Tackling, Passing, Movement, even the final ball to Johnson (who should've shot) was inch perfect

What a performance and what a player

Ooh. What do we have on ours hands here. Still not sure what exactly he has in his locker. Seems like he does a bits and pieces role at the moment but he has plenty more to come.

Thought there was a confidence along with maturity in his performance tonight. Also feels like he has more time than he actually has when on the ball. Never looks rushed and has a great engine one him.

Still young and so has areas he needs to improve on but his ceiling is potentially huge imo.

Best compliment I can give him is that you see his name on the teamsheet and just go onto the next one. It's become nothing that he's the starter now, 10 games in, at (only just) 21, and after being completely mishandled last season. Belongs at this club, and at his age you'd think having some really formative experiences within the group which can only bode well for him feeling like this is his home, because he'll have suitors.
