the club will make £2.6 million selling sausage rolls over the course of a few match days. What a fucking joke.

The one thing that I’m really clinging onto here is surely Levy and the board know how toxic the fanbase is right now and how even more toxic it will get if we don’t get our number 1 target over the line.

Levy isn’t that stupid, I refuse to believe that.

This must get done.

Hold the anger until the window closes

The club knows how the fans feel so I can't imagine they will just let this go. It's just another twist in a transfer saga which let's be honest, everyone loves.

if the 2.6m story is true this surely gets done - it would be a new low to walk away after a month of negotiations for that amount

If it doesn’t get done, it would have to spell the end for Levy. We would have to unite as fans until the end of the season & show our discontent in whatever means possible.

Maybe this deal collapsing could also have other long term benefits ??‍♀️

One big shit show ??‍♀️

If our only dealings are Danjuma in, Gil out, the window is a 1.

Fail to strengthen the bench with attacking options.

Fail to strengthen at CB which is a huge priority.

Fail to strengthen at RWB which is arguably our weakest position.

I don't care if it's Sporting who have moved the goalposts here, once again we are running around with under 48 hours to go with a squad way short of the standard needed.

I'm sick of it tbh, just want Levy gone now because we clearly have no plan with what we are doing!
if this happens , for the 1st time ever, my ST goes on the exchange and Ill watch City game at home ...fuck going over there to a toxic stadium to support a club with no ambition and no idea. Danjuma hasnt upgraded Bergwyn let alone Moura

It’s not about liking or disliking, it’s about the character that Conte is & this sort of collapse for a few millions, would surely test his patience.

Will probably be confirmation that he won’t renew in any case ??‍♀️
I'm sure he wouldn't be pleased, but I'm also sure he'll be fully aware of all the facts if it doesnt go through. I don't think he'd be unreasonable with all the facts.

I don't think saying he'd have to walk is the term of phrase you should have used either.

We all want the player to sign, we all want change at the club, and progress. The name calling of Levy, the rage at something none of us can control is all a bit much but maybe it's just me that thinks that.

Would be stunned if we don’t do anytning between now and the deadline on Tuesday. Most likely outcome is we panic loan/ buy someone shit tomorrow but I really hope we just pay the extra for Porro as he’s a potential game changer.
Im looking forward to us calling the Porro deal off, then panicking tomorrow at like 4/5pm when we realise that there isn't anyone else decent available so we go back to SL agreeing to pay the 3 mil only to find out the asking price has gone up by 10 mil

If Sporting have changed the terms at the last minute, you can't blame Levy. He has many faults, but I absolutely guarantee we would be in a worse position long-term if we had a chairman who just accepted other clubs moving the goalposts and paid the ransom.

When Levy has pulled this stunt himself in the past, he has rightly been criticised. When another club has done it to him, how you can put the blame at his door?
You get the deal done before it becomes a last minute scramble. This seemed on the surface a simple release clause on January 1st. We should have been prepared fully and struck then. It's what big clubs do.

I'd like to know what Sporting have reneged on. Was the 2.6m meant to be theirs to cover or were we splitting it?

I am as angry as everyone and I agree we should pay it if there is no other option. But it's just another 2.6m is a huge simplification. Say we were initially at €35m and we have conceeded and said ok we will pay the €45. then it's for example €12.6m more than we wanted to pay initially and its underhanded to not disclose this until after the deal is agreed. There is a certain point that agreeing to a bad deal limits your ability to get a good deal in the future because everyone sees you will cave in.

However if we didn't constantly penny pinch we could have agreed the release clause 12 days ago before it expired and all be looking forward to next weekend.

Porro won't be too happy after that long goodbye to the fans. I don't think Sporting hold the cards here, Porro won't want to be staying.
