I thought he played well today. Didn’t think he’d make it as a fullback with us I really didn’t but he’s looking good.

He got caught out a bit for the first goal but he was also struggling being tucked in a bit and them getting space wide on that side. We started to stop the supply to the wing more and Sarr did a good job tracking over when Kulusevski was upfield or infield. Once we got control of the situation he grew into the game. I think he's really a player who can develop into a top right back. I can see him scoring a few goals too, strikes it so well but gets into good positions. Coming infield from full back gets him into those angles to shoot.
Yes, that's always going to be an issue, whoever plays there. At least Pedro has recovery pace, and Romero on his side for cover, but it's an organisational thing for Ange to fix, rather than an issue with our FBs.

He’s like the Pre-Amazing Kyle Walker was for us. Obviously a ton of skills and a true asset to the team, but will do stuff that leaves you scratching your head a bit. Good to remember he’s still so young and you’d imagine given his ability he will only improve.

First goal started from a very good long ball from him.

Final goal was a world class assist from him.

Proper talent this boy, still only 23 years of age so has time to get even better.

That assist for Son was inch perfect and such a beautiful pass.
He's still young enough to improve the defensive side of his game but under Ange, his attacking play is going to be invaluable.
Very talented player, quick, skillful and with a lovely technique.

Probably the player I was most concerned about fitting into the system but the early signs are very encouraging.

I thought I was watching Harry playing in Sonny with those passes around the back line. Sonny is so good at timing those runs. I believe Porro will benefit the most from Son playing up top.

He's so comfortable in the current system. The errors will always come from our left and right side of defence because that's the deficiency of Ange system. But Burnley trying to pin back Kulu and Porro in the late second half tells us how dangerous he has been in contributing to our attacks.

His attacking is his form of defence. Look at how when Royal being more defensive actually got us conceded late on. But I expect everyone to be improving on all these to a point everyone who bought into the system will have their important part to play as and when the game situations required.

Just came here to say the same thing. Maybe he'll have some tough defensive battles this season but I just came to say what a job he is doing. Some amazing press resistant play, some great build up. A threat from deep. He's been amazing. Hope it continues!!

That pass for son will possibly be the pass of the season for us. The build up was 👏.

He also played the pass to set son off for the equalizer

There was also a pass at the beginning of the 2nd half, where he also played a 1 touch pass what took out 2 Burnley players, and set off kulu.

He's got such an amazing array of passes, he offers us a lot more offensively than Emerson.

Starting to seen parallels with TAA in how he plays and some of his weaknesses. His passing and vision is ridiculous for what is supposed to be a defensive position.

But I think he has better physical attributes than TAA. Plays with aggression.

Excited to see what he can contribute to this season.

Great that he’s coming good. A genuine threat and contributes a lot, love his confidence on the ball but his passion shines through for me. He cares, and that counts for a lot

If Odegaard, De Bruyne or even Trent Alexander-Arnold had done that pass for Sons hat-trick it would be on every media outlet being replayed over and over again and drooled about.

Amongst some of the fucking hyperbole on here right now, this rings true to me. He smiles a lot, is clearly enjoying himself, he’s big, strong and quick, with a decent right foot. That should be enough for us right now, no need to invoke fucking de Bruyne or Kane FFS!

Funny, I thought he was a tall player but recently I’ve come to notice that he looks like one of the shortest on the team! I think he only has Solomon beat for height.

Weird and unnecessary post. No hyperbole posted other than appreciation for couple of his passes, which a number of players would never see let alone be able to apply.

He’s technically very good and so slotting into the midfield seems to suit him more than Royal at the moment. I’ve been impressed with him defensively of late and that was my main concern about him. Yes he got caught out for pace yesterday but that will happen at times in this system.

I do worry about some of the big games where he’ll face a better quality of forward but I’m seeing very positive signs from him so far. Long May it continue.
