There would have to be some serious incoming movement for us to sell both PEH and Richy in January. You would be asking us to sell two players in our top 15 or so in a squad already lacking depth.
I'm not keen on Phillips on a permanent deal, but a loan with option (or conditional obligation) to replace PEH would be perfect. If Veliz does well from the cameos he appears to be getting then i'm not even sure we'll be that short without Richy as Solomon & Sess will be back by then to add to Johnson, Kulu and Bryan. Obviously i'd want an upgrade in if possible but if someone bid £40m for Richy I wouldn't turn it down because we haven't found a better player.

I liked one os the things Ange said about PEH after the match - "he has been a contributor all season"

That seems to be an important talking point for Ange. He wants players he can trust to come in and do the job whenever called upon. So, that might mean he needs you for 90 minutes, or just 60 minutes, or even just 20 minutes - and he expects you to contribute to the team's success. PEH has been that player for us all season.

A massive thing if players buy into it, which they appear to. Hope he stays as can't expect to get much better to come in that is happy with that role, and he already knows the team.

No one will bid for RIchy at 40m.

Thought he did ok last night in a much more suitable role than he's had to play for us in the last three seasons where he's basically been our main creative midfielder which he's obviously not designed to do. Playing behind Maddison he can focus on what he's good at.

He'll never be as mobile as Sarr or as good at carrying the ball and beating the press as Bissouma, but I think he's got a role to play.

Do we play him on Friday against Palace to save Bissouma for Chelsea?

Bissouma is one yellow card away from another ban.
My guess is that Ange will pick the best eleven for Palace. He doesn't strike me as the kind of manager who picks his team based on hypotheticals.

I thought he had a solid game. I'm not going to criticise him for not being like Bissouma. It isnt his game, and I couldn't fault his effort.

Yeah I thought he had a good game, he can’t do what Biss does like you say, but what he does do he does well.
