Yes, and he's spent the last 5 years playing in Italy. Italian is not a difficult language for a native Romanian speaker.
I had a French friend who spoke Italian and Spanish fluently, he got a Romanian client so learnt the language in a few weeks, he told me it was a Romance language too so it was easy. I guess the same works in reverse.

I have a lot of sympathy for Emerson and I've never liked the pile ons he has suffered, however, he was badly exposed vs. Brighton by relatively basic (but effective) centre forward play. Not saying Utd pose that same threat with their front line, but there are elements of his ability that can be exposed given he just isn't a centre back.
Everyone was exposed by Brighton. Not sure what Emerson could do about Kulu pulling a shirt, GLC tackling from behind, and Estupinian rocket.

He looked very good recently, not saying I want him as a CB, but don't blame for team failures.

As somebody who is able to say "I am hungry" and "I am thirsty" in Romanian (Although I'm not sure which is which and my pronunciation is so poor it sounded like I was asking my future mother in law for oral sex), I'm willing to offer my translation services. As an added bonus, if a bear turns up at the training ground during the medical, I will be able to point this out and also give an update to the fecal status of my underwear.

I hope it's done in time for him to be in contention for the United game. I know Emerson has done well, but I really want us to go to Old Trafford with 2 recognised senior centre backs.
It's also important to consider that if VdV starts he is unlikely to play 90 mins. He will maybe play 60-70 and we don't have Davies. So we either start Dragusin alongside VdV and then bring Emerson on with Dragusin shifting across. Or we at least need to have Dragusin on the bench to come on for VdV.

That's true, as a native Romanian speaker, Italian is very close. I can understand most of written Italian without ever studying it.

Anyway, I don't think communication is a problem, they all speak english.

Fair point there. Any potential shortcoming is worth ensuring that VDV doesn't re-injure himself. I think I'd rather VDV and Dragusin start, and to make any changes later on in the game. I guess there will be multiple elements that Ange will have to assess to determine who will start at CB. He may very well conclude that Emerson who is in the flow of things may be less of a risk than chucking Dragusin in, but as well as Emerson has done at times I still strongly have a preference for 2 traditional CB's.

Despite that I will understand if that's not the decision on the day. Like you allude to, certain circumstances make it so the decision isn't necessarily so black and white.

I guess there is the all important matter of signing him first and foremost too :D

The fact we haven't signed him early makes me think it'll more likely be a 31st Jan deal now

Hope not though

Looking increasingly likely by the day Werner will make the squad but the CB won't. Who'd have predicted that lol.

Would be such a Spurs window lets stock up on any position than the position we need. Like when we kept buying midfielders instead off defenders.

He needs a few days training if he's to play against United. Finger out time. You often pay a bit extra for faster delivery. It's not being outrageously or unnecessarily fleeced if you need him in ASAP.
I know it gets said a lot but it's a winnable away match that will have enormous consequences for the top 4 race. Hard to be massively confident with Emerson at CB.

Big question is what does Ange think of his man bun/top knot and is that what Ange is after Kalvin Phillips too 🪢🤣🤷‍♂️ could be our new transfer policy.
