You people realise that 'paying what they want' doesn't keep Bayern from matching our bid, right? It's not like Bayern discovered him yesterday.

It's about time many of those who say just pay want they want begin to learn that there is never a set price. We start with a bid of 20 they want 30, we start at 25 they want 35.

There is never a 'just pay what they want', there is just a starting point to negotiations where you have to be careful to not over pay.

Antony at Man Utd is a prime example, there scouts has him valued at 35. Don't pay more than that they said, however they were so keen to get him and were willing to just pay what Ajax wanted that they ended up spending 50M more than the scouts Value.

I understand it can be frustrating but we can't be wasting 5, 10 or 15+ million, it would affect us more than the rivals around us.

Dragusin’s levels above Kelly. Would’ve actually challenged for a starting spot. 30 was a more than reasonable valuation. Just trying to haggle down for the sake of it. Another one we’ll come to regret

I mean that's debatable to be fair I'm not sure he is good enough to really challenge Romero for that RCB position. Maybe we could argue he'd be better to challenge for it, then if you are looking at replacing VDV incase of injury again, Kelly would probably be a better option alongside Romero for his pace.
