Tbf I still feel he comes to us. I know it feels like we’ve been here before but this isn’t a mega money deal and we are obviously pretty deep into it by now. I’m not really convinced BM will be looking to blow our deal out of the water ether. I don’t see us pulling out unless the price significantly jumps. Idk, I’m probably slightly deluding myself but I just think it still gets done.

To be fair, the player appears to be very interested in joining us. I know Bayern are a bigger club, but Premier League football is also an important factor and IIRC Ange already spoke to him. Few clubs like a bidding war because the price can become real silly, so Bayern are essentially forcing us to pay what Genoa wants.

It's not necessarily about Dier, it's about the others moves. They'll make a bigger move elsewhere and add Dier as depth.

I still see Dier going purely for Harry Kane because they'll want him happy and comfortable and Dier adds to that.

For me, it reads as a normal transfer with media trying to post some shit every couple of hours while nobody really knows what's happening.

It also reads like normal SC during a transfer window with people knee-jerking themselves into oblivion.
