Let them be ambitious. If the agent has aspirations for Madrid or Barca then Radu will have to play phenomenally well for us, and also Levy will demand an appropriately massive fee. By which point hopefully Spurs as a team will be highly competitive and still identifying the next talent to bring in. As long as Radu is a top pro for us I see no problem.

This is a proper legit business model for us. Sign players like Radu, get them to world class status and then sell them to the likes of Madrid for €100m whilst we bring in the next Radu. The bit in this model that is crucial is identifying the next Radu. This is where we fucked up with Bale and Modric, we did the first bit of this model but fucked up the second bit.

What we should have done with say Modric is bring Eriksen in the summer of 2012 when Modric went to Madrid.

Anyway back to Radu - really hoping we get to see him against Utd.
