The lady in that clip, Sue Smith, said ‘why would he go down if it wasn’t a foul’. Well, because people dive all the fucking time, that’s why.

I didn’t see it this week but did they show Godfrey’s dive and ask why he wasn’t sent off for a second yellow?

Disappointed in her there. She's normally quite good as a pundit but that's complete bullshit. Only need to listen to her accent though to work out what's going on.

There is no way he's getting to the ball, if you look at the flight it comes over Dragusin at high angle... So he gone down looking for a penalty, that why Sue?...

Minimal contact with the defender, and he hardly pulled his shirt... He also let go of the shirt and then he falls over..

Just think when he comes on we lose our shape or the players are not clear on what the strategy is.

He is definitely a unit for sure so see the logic in having in on when defending balls in the box
Every time he's come on it's been for a CM. So we go from 4 in the middle (2 fullbacks, DMC and CM ) with the AMC drifting in and out to 2 in the middle (CM and AMC) because the fullbacks play more traditional set up in a back 5.
So we lose control of the middle of the park when he's come on. Not necessarily his fault but I really don't like the sub for a CM because it's counter intuitive to our philosophy.

“I was a bit scared of him at first because he’s so big but we talked a few times & he’s really kind & super talented. i’m an attacker & he’s a defender so I wish we can talk more about how we could cause more problems to attackers (on the pitch)”

“That's why I wanted him here because he knew the challenge of coming here and playing was not a given. Used him in games and done well when used him. He's been outstanding in training, great amongst the players and the players can see his qualities.”

While Udogie is out, bring Radu in at centre back and move VDV to left back.
Could be a shout you know although not sure VDV has the foot speed to play that almost midfield role as inverted full back.

I feel like Lee Young-Pyo back in the day would’ve suited this system also possibly Reto Zeigler.

There are 2 names you didn’t think you’d be reading tonight on here.

I'm sure he didn't think he'd come here to warm the bench.

He has to train hard and take his opportunity like any footballer. Thats what all young footballers have been doing their whole career through the ranks. I doubt he was expecting to be first choice immediately.

Romero learning to not get carded is severely impacting his playing time!

He needs to remain patient. His playing time is limited right now, but his chance will come. Next season we will be in Europe, he will play 30-40 games, no doubt.

Yep. We could realistically play 20 more games next year than this year, which means we will have to rotate. He's helpful this year providing cover should Romero or VdV miss time, but the real benefit of being in now is he should be fully settled and ready come the start of next year when I'd expect him to play regularly.

If you look at any big team over the years who competes and goes far in the cups, you'll see that 3 or 4 centre-backs have significant playing time.

Man City are a litle bit of an exception as they have had 4 or 5 rotate, but they can afford to.

But Liverpool, for example, had Konate, Gomez, Van Dijk, Matip over a 3-4 year period all get significant game time. Quansah is getting time now too and will soon be a regular.

Because we are only playign 1 game per week, VDV and Romero are fit and in form, and it's still very arly in the Ange reign with players still adapting, we are not in a position to flip and flop the team, we need to buidl the stability first.

But next season, he will get plenty of minutes
