Would love for Richie to do well but just can’t see it happening at Spurs: injuries and when not struggles to find form. Cannot believe that I’ve seen in the flesh his only two competitive goals scored in a Spurs shirt: nearly 11 months ago!

Imagine selling kane today and then having to rely on Richarlison who goes down injured straight away.

Regardless of his previous record he's not reliable enough to lead the line for us. I'd have tried to sell this window his stock is still reasonable and world cup form should create a market.

Let's hope his injury isn't serious and if it is let's hope it opens the door for Veliz like it was previously opened for Kane.

Cruel for Ange either way.

You may not see him for a while, even if he is on the bench this week. Injury/op concerns

Sigh

Poor sod. And poor us. We appoint an attack-minded manager, and one of our strikers is physically broke and the other's mind may be all over the place this weekend.

Yeah if anything it'll just accelerate our plans to sign another forward. I like Richi but it hasn't really worked out so far, and we could sell him on in the winter or summer for a reasonable sum if it still wasn't working.

From what I heard from South American experts, Veliz is nowhere near Prem league ready

Couldn’t disagree at all. Richie is one of those players that you want to do well as he wears his heart on his sleeve but it just isn’t going to happen.

I don’t know a lot about Veliz, however, this was like the majority of us with Kane at the start.

I really do hope the fans get behind Ange and realise he has one heck of a job on his hands. Jeez I felt it was going to be a challenge for him but now thinking a top 6/7 finish would be a great achievement. Feel like we are ducked!

If we’re accepting that offer for Kane in the knowledge that Richy is gonna be out for a long time without having a proven top quality player coming in with the Kane money we are in big trouble

Also fan discontent (from the usual levy / ENIC outs to the THST ticketing protests) will grow even more.

I want to be pleasantly surprised (usually optimistic with a huge pinch of salt after growing up with the mediocrity of the late 90s early 2000s) but we are going to be in a lot of bother without an outright striker. Yet another thing whether interpreted as unfortunate etc on Levy / ENIC’s watch.

Honestly I’d much rather see Son play ST anyway, I trust his finishing more.

At least we have some depth in the wings now too, with Perisic & Solomon.

Sons finishing is better but he can't play with his back to goal. Also last season's form is extremely worrying.
