Richy is our lucky charm at home, surprisingly, having won 12 games and drawn 1 in 13 starts.
Wrote the above ahead of the Fulham game. Since that post...

Richarlison started:
Fulham - WON
Newcastle - WON

Richarlison did not start:
Chelsea -
LOST
Villa - LOST
West Ham - LOST

Updated record - 15 starts, 14 wins, 1 draw.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has now scored more goals this season than Arsenal striker Jesus in the Premier League.

Very happy for Richy. Always felt Rhett was a player in there at Everton, he showed it for Brazil at the World Cup for example.

He like most strikers is a massive confidence player.

Let’s hope now he’s got his injury sorted he will be in a better place physically and mentally as he was putting a lot of pressure on himself previously, tonight he looked lighter and more confident.

Hope he can go on a scoring run as we will badly need him to be on top from when Sonny is away as Veliz isn’t getting minutes so doesn’t seem near the level we need yet.

I like how he never hides in games, whether he’s scoring or not, he’s always putting in a shift & that’s always a crowd pleaser.

Don't want to be a party pooper but he needs to improve his finishing technique.
That second goal required a better first touch or a first-time finish; he wouldn't have scored that against a better CB (or a fit one).

He has so much passion and heart and I feel that he has lost confidence due to injury setbacks and struggling to be an auto starter. He can really push on from here I feel - delighted for him.

Appeared to be a little more relaxed/composed today in terms of finishing.

I want him to succeed. Seems a nice guy. Time will tell.

Just watch how he wins the the ball back for goal and Johnson’s shot that hits post. Was really good today, probably should have had a hattrick

Personally, have never understood this we need to sell him. I know it only one game but I so hope he can keep this up..

The tone was set for me when he tried to shoot after turning inside.

He showed he was hungry and not desperate as he worked the ball well.

Thats why I said he didnt necessarily need to pass it to Son.

We need more players to start taking shots rather than just pass and pass and pass.

Richy can score some fantastic goals but he needs to be allowed to try it and not be encouraged to pass instead.

After yesterday he avergaes a goal contribution every 106 minutes in the league this season. Not bad considering the shit he gets from opposing teams' fans (and sadly a select bunch of ours at times).

I agree his touch wasn't "perfect," but I can't agree it required a better touch, ultimateloner.

His less-than-perfect (it wasn't terrible by any metric) touch is what made the goal possible. I reckon if he'd brought it down perfectly into his path, he would've been closed down quicker and unable to get the shot away unless, as you stated, he'd hit it first time.

I certainly can't criticise a player for scoring a goal based on a what-if.
