Don't forget the amazing engine he has to enable him to cover so much ground each match.I think he is comfortable on the ball, forward thinking, can play on the turn, has a burst of pace and is physical with it. None of our other midfielders are nearly as well rounded.
So calm. Made it very composed when everything was hecticHow composed was that finish btw. Last minute, didn't snatch at it - just saw a gap through a crowd and side footed it into the net.
He's been a far better signing than Romero. What a fabulous signing, I think there's a strong case for saying he's equally as great an aquisition as Romero was. I rate him that highly.
There have been many negative comments on buys that have turned out to be bad but hats off on this one, alongside Kulu and Romero, so it's by no means all doom and gloom in the transfer market.
We're dammed lucky to have him and the price paid has been turned out to be an absolute steal.

He's been good, don't get me wrong. Possibly great, but certainly not incredible. Our best CB by some distance. The sudden change of opinion on Romero baffles me, after a few rough weeks. He’s been an incredible signing.
For the Romero thread really, he has been great but does tend to get injured quite a bit. Bentancur plays every minute of every game normally, apart from being concussed and rested today. oozes class and stands out a mile in the MFHe's been good, don't get me wrong. Possibly great, but certainly not incredible. Our best CB by some distance.
However in terms of value for the squad bentancur is a level above.
I think that's fair. In terms of players who have transformed the way we play *despite* the players around them, Bentancur and Kulusevski have done so. Romero is the first brick in a new defensive wall. He cant hold it up by himself and so can appear exposed on occasion. No need to worry about him though. With 2 or 3 new, quality players around him he will look a class above even where he is now. He's been good, don't get me wrong. Possibly great, but certainly not incredible. Our best CB by some distance.

This is even funnier to read after today. He gets us up the field more than the other midfielders. He now has two goals in two games, three for the season. If you can't see how good he actually is on the ball then I think the obligatory "need to go to Specsavers" line has to come out.why are we Spurs fans so easily pleased.. he is not a great player and certainly not near the level we have had in recent times like Modric, Dembele and Wanyama.. He is weak on the ball, loses possession and rarely makes an important forward pass..sure he looks silky sometimes but where is the end product? just a frustrating player.. Hojbjerg is the better player.. Bentancur for me lacks vision needs to improve quite a bit !!
Can't agree with that. I'd say equally good signings. He's been a far better signing than Romero.
