Was pressing up top even towards the end of the game. Incredible work rate.

Oh, and the boy can pass as well apparently.

Proper central midfielder. Still cannot fathom why Juve let him go.
Also weird to think if we hadn’t come in at the last moment he looked likely to go to Aston Villa. I can’t remember the CM we were linked with for most of the window but decided against them so went for Bentacur right at the end

edit - I think it was the Fiorentina player. Amrabat maybe

why are we Spurs fans so easily pleased.. he is not a great player and certainly not near the level we have had in recent times like Modric, Dembele and Wanyama.. He is weak on the ball, loses possession and rarely makes an important forward pass..sure he looks silky sometimes but where is the end product? just a frustrating player.. Hojbjerg is the better player.. Bentancur for me lacks vision needs to improve quite a bit !!

We need more players like him. The last 4 games it’s him giving absolutely everything for the team and driving us forward.
He is an absolute inspiration and someone who we need so bad. If he is injured I genuinely think we are screwed.
We need to keep signing players like him as he’s a conte player through and through.
he’s the complete opposite to those crap legacy players who let us down time and time and again, dier, Davies, Lloris, Sanchez etc.

He was awful for their goal and then took it upon himself yet again to change the nature of the game. Unreal player

I've been saying that this lad has further levels in him. Wait until he's 27, he'll be legit one of the best in the world. (if he's still even with us by then  )

Epitomised the 2nd half and ran himself into the ground.
Good to see that he can affect a game higher up the pitch too; we’re so used to him as a deep lying playmaker but he drove forward and helped the attackers really well last night. Gives us another option, almost playing as a 10.
Hope he went off fatigued rather than injured.

Has been stepping up on his own and making things happen.

Never gives up.

Crazy that we signed him for 17 mil? One of our best signings in recent history.

Hes not perfect but I love that he gives everything for the team. I still feel he lacks elite passing and there were two pretty key moments yesterday where he should have done much better, but I am just being hyper critical. The break when he passed to moura which should have been a fairly simple through ball but he overhit it and got the angle wrong which pushed moura so wide, then the ball to Kane on the right where he played it too close to the goal keeper.

But he is our best and most important player and I would love to sgn more like him

He’s been great, but his abilities are drained when the rest around him won’t move, can’t pass, and can’t shield the ball. He must get so frustrated at our first half displays. He’s constantly been the catalyst for our better performances this season. He’s the only one who seems capable of doing anything when the rest are lumbering slowly around the pitch like a warm down match.
