As much as I want this to be true , I'm not sure you should be posting something from someone who , unless I'm missing something is unlikely to hear anything before the usual journalists.

As I say , if I am missing something and this guy is legit then I apologise

Just have to wait and see. I’m not saying it’s true which is why I said please be true. But god we are due a bit of good fortune for once so let’s see.

At least he posted the tweet, which is much better than the too often muttered "I've heard..., or... "It's being reported that...""

Oh yeah hopefully buddy . Just seeing positive news and then seeing it's from some random twitter account isn't the one.

Things may be positive
Hope so having him, Bissouma and Sarr for the City game means we can keep playing the way we want to for the entire 90 instead of having players come in who can't play the role.

It also relieves pressure on the defenders

During that spell under Mourinho, it seemed to be the general consensus (SC, pundits, neutral fans) that he was our best player. However, he was playing deeper (as an 8?) not as a 10 during that spell, so it could still be argued that he's never put together a run of decent performances as a 10 for us.

Purely for the reason that we don't currently have better options at our disposal. The only alternative today would have been Hojbjerg, who most fans also don't want to start.
Dier will presumably have been dropped because Ange considered Emerson & Davies to both be better options, rather than because Dier isn't in his long-term plans.

I think it has been more a case of us not giving him opportunities to play (or loaning him out!) after he has returned from an injury, but Argentina being willing to select him despite a lack of playing time with his club. He has been available for 9 of our 13 PL games this season, but before today was only given us for the last 1.5 months, but before today had only been given 28 minutes. It's down to Ange's selections and the good form of others, not Lo Celso saying he isn't fit to play, that he hasn't been utilised more this season - the same applied for spells under our previous few managers too.

I didn't see the game (will watch highlights later), but his goal at least partially justifies his selection.

Am I right to presume that Bentancur played 6 and Lo Celso 8?
He played very well, he was the 8 and was really influential. If he plays like that on a consistent basis then not only should we keep, we should consider playing him AND Maddison together.

If Bentancur is fully fit I'd start him with Lo Celso and Bissouma
I’d go with Sarr, Bissouma and Bentancur. Sarr runs his absolute socks off and covers so much more ground than Lo celso. We need that against city!

Would not be dropping Gio after his performance against against Villa. Would be great to have both Bentancur and Sarr fully fit tho im skeptical if that will be the case. Positive headache to have.

Yeah if he is fit don’t risk him, plus we’ll need fresh legs anyway so we can bring him on for any of the 3 when they tire

Yeah, if we want to see the best of Gio he needs the chance to build on that performance, gaining match fitness along the way.
Would be very harsh to drop him when along with Deki, he was probably our best player yesterday.
