My fear is he will feel brentford is below him having played at Madrid, sevilla, atletico, spurs and utd. I'm sure he will go out on loan somewhere though

Reckon he will be happy to stay in London and play at this stage.

He needs to get his name back in the frame and he really hasnt played enough for bigger clubs to consider him as a signing.

When he signed with Bale we were arguabley more excited at getting Sergy because here was a player coming off the back of a Europa league win and likely to be spains starting LB for years to come.

Now in his peak, i'm simply happy he;s not sat on the wage bill for a while. Football takes no prisoners!

Hopefully Brentford actually play him. Otherwise - the only bonus we get out of the loan is not carrying his wages for six months. I hope he goes there and smashes it. Maybe then someone will at least fork over a couple million to get him off our books permanently.
