Can only beat what's in front of you though. ?
Exactly my point
Can only beat what's in front of you though. ?
It was really special. I think something it its favour was how unique it was - there were plenty of long-distance screamers, insane techniques, but no others where someone managed to run the entire length of the pitch and beat countless opponents to score.
It was a 3 weeks thing so last day should be this SundayWhen is he free ?
I see Bergkamp vs Newcastle wasn't on the list and not a single Le Tissier strike was in the vote either, so I call bullshit on the whole vote frankly. Even thought it's fun for Sonny. It was obviously an astonishing goal to witness, but it's definitely benefited from recency. Any of Matt Le Tissier's frankly beautiful goals from the mid 90s are still among the finest I've ever seen.
Unpopular opinion, I thought Ayew's goal for Palace the week after was better.
Anyone under the age of 20 should YouTube Dalian Atkinson vs Wimbledon, from 1992 as well.I see Bergkamp vs Newcastle wasn't on the list and not a single Le Tissier strike was in the vote either, so I call bullshit on the whole vote frankly. Even thought it's fun for Sonny.
Soon after the lockdown started I worked on a programme that was the Norwegian public voting for the best PL goal ever out of a top 64 with head to head knockout rounds from the round of 32 to a final. Sonny's goal lost in an early round to a Le Tissier goal against Newcastle in '93 that was pretty special.Anyone under the age of 20 should YouTube Dalian Atkinson from 1992 as well.

Edit: this one
Recency bias seems to be far more extreme in the UK than it is over here.

Not the first time an English team failed to understand that you build your side around the superstar talent. I.e. Hoddle.Fun fact, Le Tiss was a sub that game because his manager didn’t know how to fit him into the team.
